Its BBB page is an A+. In a 2018 Houzz review, a customer said Mark remodeled the master bath in their new house, removing a tiled-in jacuzzi, replacing the floor tiles and creating a large walk-in tiled shower. That 2018 customer said Mark had remodeled the master bath in their previous house as well. A 2018 customer whose house was built about 1920 said the project included a new entrance, a complete gutting and remodeling of the kitchen, and replacing and tiling a shower. That 2018 customer said Mark presented decisions clearly, including where they could save money. A 2019 Houzz customer said Mark renovated their kitchen with new cupboard doors, a tiled backsplash and a new sink, measuring and installing things to minimize the uneven look of sagging walls and floors. That 2019 customer also said a supplier problem left the kitchen half-finished for five months, and that he did not keep them posted unless they specifically asked. Vermont lists its residential contractor registration, 174.0000497, as active, held by Koenemann Remodeling.
A 3.5 is our exact rating. Mark renovated our kitchen with new cupboard doors, tiled backsplash, and a new sink. Our original Kitchen walls and floors sag in spots and he and his crew did a great job of measuring and installing things to minimize the uneven look. The cabinets are beautifully finished, and we love our new kitchen. However, he had trouble with one of his suppliers and our kitchen was half-finished for five months, often with tools and materials lying around. He didn't keep us posted unless we specifically asked him. We didn't get the advice we needed to have ordered our dream tiles (and sink drain assembly) on time, and on the last day he left us with a partially painted baseboard.
Mark was recommended by my designer as someone she liked working with who was topnotch. My project involved re-orienting and creating a new entrance, a complete gutting and remodeling of the kitchen, and some work in two bathrooms including replacing and tiling a shower. The house was built about 1920, and so needed some leveling of floors and work where things were not all plumb. Mark was considerate and easy to have around over the duration of the project, presented decisions to me to make clearly with the information I needed to make them, including where he recommended I could save money and where I should consider best-quality materials. The most important thing, though, was that the work he did was impeccable, from structural work to woodwork to tiling. I now have a beautiful space.
Mark remodeled the master bath in our new house, removing the tiled in jacuzzi, replacing the floor tiles and creating a very nice, large walk-in tiled shower, which wass the envy of all of our friends and relatives. He worked well with us, listening to what our thoughts were and adding his experienced thoughts to the conversation. He worked neatly and talked to us through out the process. Mark had successfully remodeled the master bath in our previous house and did such a fine job that we wanted him back,
