The house in a June 2024 Google review dates to about 1696, and its owner calls it a sound structure and a historic treasure, if neither plumb, level, nor square. Kreate Construction completed major renovations there. That is the work Kelly Gannon's Methuen company keeps getting hired for — old New England houses where nothing lines up. She describes the business as woman-owned, established in 2016, with herself as the owner and a hands-on worker. Several of the people who hired her came back. A Houzz reviewer wrote in November 2019 that they had contracted with Kreate four times; the first project was a front porch Kelly "designed, built, and painted." Another, in March 2017, listed jobs "ranging from small touch up work to full remodels." A June 2022 Google reviewer in Andover described several projects over a few years, one of them a new fireplace mantle. The older accounts stay concrete. An October 2017 Angi customer priced a bathroom remodel at $18,000 and wrote that work started when promised and was completed as agreed, with extra hours worked to get a working shower in quickly. Another 2017 Houzz reviewer had an elevated deck extended to carry a hot tub, and said the addition blended into what was already there. A March 2017 buyer of a first, old house needed almost all the windows replaced and a whole wall taken out for French doors. A June 2017 reviewer was impressed that she stuck to their budget and kept them informed of changes. One account runs hard the other way. In September 2019, a Houzz reviewer gave a kitchen remodel one star, opening with "Beware", writing that Gannon "failed miserably" and describing "a one-person operation, utterly incapable of providing the results she promises." Reviewers in 2017 describe Kelly and her crew on site, so ask plainly who will be doing your job and who supervises it day to day. Her Houzz page averages 4.5 from eight ratings; Google sits at 4.2 from ten. The company's site lists a construction supervisor licence, CS-109477 — the same number its Houzz profile shows — and a home improvement contractor registration, HIC-185821. Its BBB page in Methuen carries an A+ and ten years in business. Best suited to porch, deck, window and period-house work, where judgement about an existing structure matters as much as the build. For a full kitchen or bathroom gut, settle the scope, the schedule and who is actually doing the work in writing before any money moves.
Kelly, and Kreate Construction, have completed major renovations at our first period antique home (ca. 1696). Kelly is highly skilled and dedicated to thoughtful renovation. Our house is neither, plumb, level, nor square, but is a sound structure and a historic treasure. Kelly has been dedicated in making repairs and improvements that were complimentary to the structure and economical while greatly improving the value and livability of our home. She is a joy to work with because she is fair and clear in addition to skilled. I would trust Kelly with any project.
I found Kelly of Kreate Construction a few years ago and she has done multiple projects for us. Our house in Andover Country club lane in Andover Ma was built in the 90’s and we’ve had her do projects from building us a new fireplace mantle (which turned out great) to repairing water damaged drywall in bathrooms, windows with broken seals and exterior wood siding and decorative trim. She is skilled and reasonable. I’ve really appreciated being able to work with her to help keep our house looking gorgeous!
I have contracted with Kreate Construction, LLC. four times and each time she exceeded my expectations. The first project was a rebuild of my front porch. Kelly designed, built, and painted the porch, adding immeasurably to the look of my house. Later I contacted with Kelly to replace the concrete steps with new wood steps and railings. The completed project was great, and several neighbors commented about the job. Unfortunately, a car crashed into the steps, causing significant damage that required a partial rebuild. Without hesitation, I called Kelly, who restored the steps to perfect condition. I also contracted with Kelly to replace and paint the wood shingles on a large section of my house. Again, the work was done was done expertly by Kelly. Kelly's work has been of the highest quality, done on time and within the proposed budget. I recommended Kreate Construction to my sister-in-law when she needed to repaint her apartment. I wouldn't hesitate to call Kreate Construction again for any work I need around my house.
We would highly recommend Kreate Construction and Kelly! The care Kelly pours into each project is second to none. Her customers are always extremely well informed of each process and the work Kelly produces is exceptional. Highly recommend and a pleasure to work with.
Beware; Kelly Gannon aka Kreate Construction LLC is not who she claims to be. Ms Gannon was hired to complete our kitchen remodel; she failed miserably. In reality, Ms Gannon is a one-person operation, utterly incapable of providing the results she promises. Significant issues with all of Ms Gannon's work have arisen including issues with framing that is out of plumb & level, a new ceiling that dips & slopes, possible electrical code violations, and plumbing leaks. Newly-installed tile had to be smashed to correct a line to the pot filler; the plumber failed to install an O ring at the main connection. Two full walls of subway tile may need to be removed due to building code violations. A new window is out of level and does not function properly. Here are some photos of the damage Ms Gannon has caused. Each of the semi-custom cabinets are completely destroyed due to her gross negligence. Think carefully before considering Ms Gannon aka Kreate Construction LLC.
