KVH Construction builds and renovates houses on Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod, from an office on MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne. Kent & Van Hollebeke Construction, Inc. by its full name, it calls itself a boutique custom home builder, and its principals, Jared Kent and Thomas Van Hollebeke, say they stay personally involved in every project. One of its projects made the Boston Design Guide in April 2018: a seaside porch described there as airy and restful, an architectural segue from the house to a deck out among the dunes. The company also takes on seasonal property management and caretaking — useful on the Cape and the Vineyard, where a house can sit empty half the year. A reasonable call for a custom build or a full renovation on the islands or the Cape, especially if you want the two principals on the job rather than a rotating site manager.
