The name is the roster: KVH is Kent & Van Hollebeke Construction, and the company says principals Jared Kent and Thomas Van Hollebeke stay personally involved in every project. By its own description it is a boutique custom home builder and renovation contractor working Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod, and it also looks after seasonal properties between owners' visits — the caretaking side of coastal building that keeps a crew busy in the off months. Outside that self-description the written trail is thin. The Boston Design Guide featured a KVH screened porch in 2018, describing a seaside room that reads as a segue from the house to a deck amid the dunes. That is a design-press credit, not an account from someone who hired them, and no customer reviews are published on Google or the trade directories. So there is no rating here, and that is the honest answer rather than a number invented from one magazine page. If the island-and-Cape custom work is what you need, treat them as an unrated shop worth a conversation: ask for references from recent Vineyard or Cape projects, ask to walk a finished house, and get the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration and insurance certificates in writing before any money moves.
