L.A.F. Floors & Interiors is a Shrewsbury flooring and design store run by Lisa, who the company's site says started this business after leaving a prior family flooring company, A.L.F. Floors & Interiors, that she and her husband Andy had run for over three decades. The Better Business Bureau lists this specific entity at three years old, which lines up with that account of a newer company built on older experience. Recent reviews center heavily on Lisa herself. In a July 2026 review, one customer calls her easy to work with on a project that "came out beautifully"; in a February 2026 review, another describes using her for multiple projects over time, calling her knowledgeable and hands-on, available on-site when needed. In an April 2026 review, one customer describes a tile installation that settled and needed re-grouting about a year later — the company sent someone out to fix it at no charge and without pushback. But there are also real, serious complaints that shouldn't be waved off. In a 2023 review, one customer describes an entire new-construction home's hardwood floor as completely defective — moving, buckling, cracking, and making noise underfoot. In a 2022 review, another describes a botched wood floor refinishing job: an uneven, overly glossy finish with a roughly 4-by-5-foot patch left undone. Multiple reviews, including one from September 2025, describe poor in-store or on-the-phone customer service — one customer says they waited nearly 20 minutes to be acknowledged despite staff walking past. Reading across the reviews, there's a pattern worth naming: the strongest praise centers on the in-store sales and design side of the business — picking materials, colors, and layouts with Lisa directly — while the most serious complaints concern actual installation work, including jobs where L.A.F. was a subcontractor for a builder or another contractor rather than dealing with the homeowner directly. For choosing flooring materials and design guidance, reviewers describe a genuinely helpful, knowledgeable experience. For the installation itself, especially on a larger or new-construction job, it's worth asking pointed questions about who does the actual installation and what recourse exists if something goes wrong.
My wife has a disability so the salesperson let her bring in some paint samples and she brang in a box of the stone wall covering we had perched to see witch color looked the best that was very helpfully thanks
Lisa was so helpful and easy to work with! Everything came out beautifully. Highly recommend L.A.F. Floors! Top notch.
The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable about the tiles and how to pick the color of the grout and all the other needs to complete my bathroom shower and bathroom floor. I am so happy with the outcome of my bathroom renovation. I could not have done this without their guidance.
We had L.A.F Floors and Interiors out to do our flooring in our new salon in Worcester. We've since had them back to replace a small section due to a flood. Both times Lisa was great to work with and we appreciated her attention to detail, recommendations, and the customer service that she provided. We highly recommended them!
We ordered tile and installation for a kitchen which was being remodeled, the space between the countertop and backsplash after a year settled and the grout needed to be replaced. LAF floors sent somebody out to regrout the area without any questions or costs. I appreciate the attention to detail and the commitment to excellence. Thank you
