L&J Pools builds and services swimming pools. The company says it has been in business 35 years and serves 15 towns including Bethel, Danbury, Newtown and Ridgefield. A recent customer says L&J Pools built their inground pool over 20 years ago and has since helped with openings, water deliveries, equipment repairs, upgrades and routine maintenance. A 2024 customer said Jim, Jim Jr. and Tony built a new gunite pool over their existing 16x32. That 2024 customer said the company looked out for them during a long permit process with the City of Danbury. A 2024 customer said the company had been great to work with on pool openings, closings and minor repairs for over 15 years, and called it reasonably priced. A 2022 customer who ordered a pool water delivery said the driver helped with a small problem with their pool install. A 2022 customer said Jim Sr. came out and that the company was flexible as they made changes during construction. A 2021 customer said the company opened their pool and left the mechanicals leaking, and that a new service tech blew DE over their pool and patio. That 2021 customer said the company charged to clean up the mess before refunding the charge after they complained, and billed $140 an hour for every person on the job, including packing and travel time. A 2022 customer said a manager, possibly named Jim, was rude to them over an invoice question. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0572941, as active, held by L & J Pools Inc.
L&J Pools built our inground pool over 20 years ago, and it's still one of the best investments we've ever made. The quality of their work has really stood the test of time. What I appreciate most is that they didn't disappear after the pool was finished. Over the years they've helped us with openings, water deliveries, equipment repairs, upgrades, and routine maintenance, and they've always been responsive, reliable, and easy to work with. Everyone on the team is friendly, knowledgeable, and takes the time to answer questions without ever trying to sell us things we don't need. It's hard to find a company that still provides this level of service after all these years. If you're looking for a pool builder or pool service company you can trust, I highly recommend L&J Pools. We'd choose them again in a heartbeat.

I have been using L & J for over 15 years and they have been great to work with on the pool openings, closings and minor repairs. They pay a lot of attention to the details. They are reasonably priced (I've checked around) and respond promptly if I call with any questions. My pool is older and they help me keep it going and, like a car or house, you can't defer maintenance forever. They guide me on what issues they see and how to fix them in a cost effective way. 5 stars on all!
