Lamco Systems Inc. is a family-run HVAC shop that's worked out of Tyngsborough since 1967, according to its Better Business Bureau profile — and its 106 Google ratings currently average 4.7 stars, with the seven posted since February all five stars. The pattern in review after review is the same: a system fails on the worst possible day, and Lamco gets someone out fast. A 30-year-old AC and furnace that died mid-heat-wave had a technician out that same morning and a full replacement running two days later. Another AC replacement, also during a stretch of 90-degree, humid weather, was finished within a week of the unit failing. The names recur across the reviews — Chris Hartson quoting jobs and explaining the options, Tyler, Fernando, Matt, Markus, John, Shawn and Sergio installing heat pumps, boilers and Mitsubishi ductless systems and cleaning up before they leave. In a 2025 review, a homeowner credited Lamco plumber Eric Airosus with a full bathroom-renovation plumbing job done with new materials — work good enough that the general contractor on the project noticed. Its Massachusetts HVAC license is active, verified against the state registry, and the Better Business Bureau grades the company A+. Neighbors on Reddit and Nextdoor have named Lamco unprompted when asked who handles HVAC work around Tyngsboro. The complaints on file cluster around communication rather than the installs themselves. A 2023 review described a technician insisting a combustion analyzer would legally force a furnace shutdown; the homeowner sent him away rather than approve the repair. A separate 2023 review recounted a mouse-damaged wiring job that went sideways — the wrong replacement parts arrived, a second technician's attempt failed the control boards, and the repair was never finished. A 2024 review reported over a week of silence on an estimate with no follow-up call, and another 2024 review called staff unprofessional and rude. An undated Better Business Bureau review alleges being charged more than the work was quoted. Lamco is a solid call for a heating or cooling system that fails without warning — its people show up fast and its installers get named by customers, not just its trucks. Before booking anything outside a routine repair, it's worth pinning down who's assigned to the estimate and getting a firm date, since that's where the complaints on file cluster.

“Lamco, in Tyngsboro, does a wonderful job at a reasonable price.”
Lamco has done regular maintenance for years and kept the units running for 30 years. When it gave out in the middle of the heat wave, they sent a technician that morning and upon post mortem exam, we decided to get a new AC and furnace. We had AC again 2 days later. Great team that does a great job.
Chris was knowledgable and helpful with the estimate. Tyler and his crew were professional and personable without being intrusive. They attended to their work quickly and with precision.
LAMCO crew showed up and worked in the pouring rain to replace our Central AC system. They worked hard, were concerned and conscientious about cleanliness and finished on time. Highly recommend them, thank you Chris, Markus and team!
Matt and the Lamco team did a great job on fixing my blower for my heat and furnace. The condensation pump failed and caused a shorting out of the controller board. Came right out and diagnosed the problem and ordered the part the following Monday and had it installed by noon time. Was very happy as this was two days of 100° weather. Thank you Amanda, Chris and of course Matt for the work. Mark Buscemi
