Rotted trim, shingles and clapboards run through what Laperle Painting's customers describe, and in their accounts the carpentry came bundled into the paint job rather than as a second contractor to line up. The Medfield company says Daniel Laperle founded it in 1992 and that it staffs jobs with its own crew rather than subcontractors, working across Metro-West and greater Boston. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active on the state registry. A May 2026 customer with a lot of rotted wood and a house overdue for paint said the crew came in as soon as winter ended, powerwashed, repaired siding, primed and painted. A June 2026 review described replacing rotted shingles and trim as all included in the exterior work package. In a 2022 review, a homeowner walked through the order of operations: powerwashing and mildew removal, a sanding crew taking loose paint down to bare wood, then carpenters on the trim, clapboards, window sills and fascia boards. The estimate gets named nearly as often as the work. Three 2025 reviewers named estimator Fabio — two said he photographed the problem areas before quoting, and a third said he laid out the crew's step-by-step sequence from prep through finish. In a March 2026 review, a homeowner left with 40 square feet of freshly dried studs after an ice dam said the quote for new drywall and painting came back quickly. Not all of it is exterior. A February 2026 customer had wainscoting and picture-frame molding installed with two rooms and their built-ins repainted; an April 2024 review covers kitchen cabinets plus wall and trim painting; a March 2022 basement job combined painting, carpentry and vinyl floor installation. A 2024 commercial property was painted while the building's tenants stayed in place. On Google the company holds 4.9 stars across 72 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+. Scheduling is the one friction anyone raises. A May 2025 customer preparing a house for sale said rain had the crew behind on outdoor jobs, and they came out on the first rainy day to do it; a 2022 reviewer spent a couple of weeks on a waiting list before the start. A good fit for an older house where paint is the last step and the wood has to be sorted first. Ask where an exterior job would land in the season's schedule, and have the carpentry priced as line items in the estimate rather than carried as an allowance.
