Legacy Contracting's HomeAdvisor page splits sharply: 17 of 22 reviewers gave five stars and keep naming Ben, while four wrote detailed low-rated accounts about money, cleanup and how the job ended — enough that the 4.3★ headline flatters it. HomeAdvisor lists the company as Legacy Contracting and Renovations, LLC at 1605 N St in Kerrville, Texas, with 16 years of experience, offering remodeling, kitchen and bath work, decks, cabinet installation, framing and concrete flatwork. The praise is consistent in tone: on time, polite crews, professional. The most useful account is from March 2025 — a homeowner wrote that a year and a half after construction finished there were no problems, that the few glitches got fixed right away, and that Ben's foundation and framing subcontractors did well. In a May 2023 review, a bathroom customer said Ben listened, priced the job well and came back quickly when a leak showed up months later. A 2022 reviewer credited Matt Saner with a screened-in patio and deck that matched the house, and a 2020 customer had a roof replaced in four days with the area cleaned up. The newest review, from June 2026, calls the job professional and under budget. The complaints are specific and worth reading. In November 2024 a remodeling customer described drywall repair done without drop cloths, dust through the whole house, and a crew in a hurry to collect the final check. A November 2023 reviewer had no issue with the subcontractors' work but said a good working relationship ended badly. A 2020 customer was told on the final morning that sales tax had been "forgotten" — another $1,070 on top of the bid. And a 2022 reviewer called the work poor and the crew unprofessional and unreliable. Two things to pin down before signing: get the total price with tax in writing, and agree on dust protection and cleanup for any interior work. The reviews name two different people — Ben and Matt Saner — so ask who will run your job and which subcontractors are on it. Satisfied customers are the clear majority here, but the unhappy ones were unhappy about billing and cleanup rather than the finished work — decide on the contract, not the star count.
Yes very professional and under budget. Would recommend Legacy Construction to friends and family! Job well done Ben👍👍👍
Work done was very The workers were outstanding. A pleasure to be around. Very polite and hard working. Highly recommended
Ben did an outstanding job. No project goes without its glitches. The few glitches we had, Ben took care of right away. It's been 1 & 1/2 years since the construction finished and no problems. I'm very happy with Ben and his subcontractors. His foundation guys and framers were amazing.
Very professional, on time, skilled workmanship. Ben is great to work with.
Do not hire this organization! Various things occurred during this remodeling process including not hanging drop cloths around drywall repair area resulting in subsequent dust all over house that cannot be vacuumed or cleaned off. Second, they were in a hurry to get the final check and missed many things including lack of paint in many areas of trim, yard left full of small nails and debris, and walls not textured or painted properly leaving many irregularities in painting on walls. Lastly, this remodel was done on my 90 year old mother's home due to original water leak under kitcgen sink. They didn't properly cap off a line under kitchen sink and now for last week and a half my mom has had to place a large bowel under sink and empty it several times a day. Ben, the owner, said they would be out last week to make the repair but no response. I have even tried calling him 5-6 times since last week and only one time did he answer and that was last week to say he would be by "sometime" late last week. Again, no communication and no response and $14,120 later my 90 year old Mom is left with a shoddy kitchen remodel and a job that exemplifies extremely poor workmanship.
