The warmest reviews of LGT Companies and the two angriest ones are about exactly the same thing: tile and stone. Thiego Gava runs it out of Everett, and the company presents itself as a family business with more than 15 years behind it, doing interior remodelling across Massachusetts with its own countertop templating, fabrication and installation. The permit history is modest and consistent with that: nine permitted projects, most landing in the $20,000 to $50,000 band, spread from Hingham to Gardner — two bathrooms in Hingham in 2024, a basement bathroom in 2023, a Brookline condo kitchen, a Revere deck, a strip-and-re-roof in Waltham. Houzz puts it at 4.5 across 19 ratings, and the newer write-ups are warm and specific. A March 2025 client described the crew touching up areas that were never in the original plan and clearing up a paint-colour misunderstanding on the spot. A February 2025 reviewer had a restaurant remodelled. A July 2020 customer, on a second job with the firm, itemised the lot: seventeen new windows installed, sealed, primed and painted inside and out, plus repair and painting to the front gutters — after an earlier job that cut a doorway between two bedrooms, hung a sliding door and brought back hardwood that had spent years under carpet. In a March 2018 review a landlord had two full bathrooms done in a three-family and got progress photographs almost every day. Then the other side of it. A March 2016 customer wrote that master bathroom tile work left the room needing a week of scrubbing with industrial cleaner, and that problems in the shower and on the floor were still unresolved when they wrote. In May 2017 another described marble thresholds in a large custom shower cracking in two places, attributed it to improper installation, and said that after one returned call the follow-up phone messages and texts went unanswered. Both complaints are about stone, and both are about what happened after the crew left rather than the work on the day. The Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 186312, appears on the company's own Houzz listing, and BuildZoom says it checked that same number as active in March 2026. Neither is a state-registry verification, so confirm the status yourself before signing. For a kitchen or bathroom remodel this is a small outfit with a real permit trail and a warm recent record. If stone is a large part of your job — a marble threshold, a long quartz run, a custom shower — put the workmanship warranty and the callback terms in the contract, because that is exactly where the two unhappy customers on this record ended up.

Theigo and his team delivered exceptional work on my home renovation project. Their attention to detail and respectful treatment of my home made the entire process smooth and pleasant. The crew went above and beyond by touching up areas that weren't part of the original plan, and when a small misunderstanding arose about paint colors, they addressed it immediately with professionalism.
