A homeowner whose hot water heater died on a Friday morning called LHR at 11:30 and had someone at the door ten minutes later, with an estimate fifteen minutes after that — this after two of the area's better-known shops had already been out. Speed is what the 490 Google ratings, averaging 4.9, keep circling back to. The Manchester company's New Hampshire plumbing licence, MBE1600893, is active under LHR Plumbing and Heating, LLC, and its written history runs to 276 reviews since 2021 across plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical work. The jobs customers describe are the awkward ones. In June 2026 a pair of technicians pulled roughly hundred-year-old radiators so they could be sandblasted and repainted, then handled putting them back. In a 2022 review a homeowner with water leaking from radiators in every room watched a technician take the steam boiler apart to replace failed parts rather than condemn the whole unit. In May 2026 a hybrid water heater's repeated faulting was traced to a fault that got the unit replaced under warranty. In March 2026 a customer had ten outdated smoke detectors rewired and installed in a single day, at close to half a competitor's quote. Booties, shoe covers and swept-up work areas turn up in review after review. Price is where opinions split, and it splits by job size. On the bigger calls reviewers keep saying LHR came in under the other quotes — half of a $1,700 heating quote in a 2023 review, and lower than expected on a 2022 shower-hardware job where the crew waited on site while the customer fetched a correct valve rather than doubling the charge. On small repairs, the same pricing reads very differently. In February 2026 a customer was quoted $1,400 to drain a system and replace about two feet of copper, and had it done elsewhere for $400. In a 2024 review, $553 covered a drop-ear, a shower arm and six inches of pipe in under an hour. In a 2023 review, an $85 fee bought a ten-minute look and a $6,000 quote for an indirect water heater that another company replaced for $2,500 after finding the tank still under warranty. A Reddit commenter in May 2026 put it in a line: good, not real cheap, high end of reasonable, very good work. Two 2026 reviewers raised smaller things — tub caulking left with uneven lines after an otherwise thorough repair, and a frozen-pipe call they felt deserved more troubleshooting and bigger heaters on site. Call them when something has failed and you need a person in the house today, particularly heating or a water heater. Get the number before they start on anything small — that is where the pricing surprises people.
“I have used LHR several times now. Good, not real cheap. High end of reasonable and very good work.”
“I’ve used both LHR and AJ Leblanc for separate issues. All tradesman were respectful of my home.”
Extremely professional, efficient and worth every cent.
Great service from my initial call to when the technician came out and fixed my problem. Mary, Alicia, Angel & Aiden were excellent to work with and I really appreciate all of them!! Highly recommend them to anyone I know!
Great Team. They were very helpful and got to my home quickly. I truly appreciate them explaining everything they did. I recommend them for all of your plumbing needs.
We are so grateful to Angel, Alicia, Mary, Chip and the entire LHR team who went above and beyond to get our hot water fixed after our boiler decided to break down at an extremely inconvenient time for our family, when access to a shower after treatment was medically necessary. The LHR team was responsive, compassionate, and understanding, moving mountains to troubleshoot and repair the boiler, all while keeping in constant communication with us to make sure we understood the repairs, cost, and possible scenarios every step of the way. From Mary and Alicia’s kindness and compassion to helping coordinate the team and finding parts, to Chip staying late and traveling to get the part that we needed, to Angel rearranging his schedule to arrive to our house first thing the following morning, determined to fix the issue, we are so so grateful for Herculean effort made to fix the boiler and restore our hot water. The compassion, empathy, dedication, and true honest and reliable service is hard to find these days, and this team lives up to their name. I would recommend them to anyone for any plumbing, heating, or electrical needs and they have earned a repeat customer. Thank you, thank you to Angel and the LHR team. We are so grateful.
My husband was very please with the two young men that came out to our house to discuss removing and later reinstalling some of our probably 100 year old radiators which we plan to have sandblasted and repainted. They went above and beyond in the removal process because those pieces are heavier than one would imagine.
