Speed is the thread running through more than a decade of comment on this shop, and the person who usually turns up is German Linares himself — reviewers spell it German, Herman and Germain, but it is the same man on the ladder. Working out of 21 Waverly Ct in Framingham, the business does residential and light commercial electrical work: panels and breakers, outlets and switches, smoke and CO alarms, EV chargers. Its Better Business Bureau page is an A+, and BBB also lists security-system work. The platform numbers are strong but not identical — 4.8 on Google across 181 ratings, 4.9 on both Angi and HomeAdvisor over 38 each, and 4.5 on Thumbtack over 35. The work people describe is the interesting part. In June 2025 a customer had all nineteen wall outlets and every switch in the house replaced, including a burnt one, and came away with an explanation of what makes an outlet last. In February 2024 an insulation crew drilled into a live wire and shorted an upstairs circuit; German restored power and sent a photographed report to the insulation company so the homeowner could claim reimbursement. A July 2024 reviewer had a difficult Level 2 EV charger install go through without a problem. And in April 2026 someone had prior work from another electrician corrected because it wasn't to code. That is a question to put to him directly — current licensure, insurance, and who pulls the permit — before any work is scheduled. The second is money, and it recurs. A 2023 reviewer wrote that a $99 phone quote for emergency service became a $650 bill. A 2025 customer disputed the $99 troubleshooting charge on a simple switch swap. Another in July 2024 spent twenty minutes on hold only to learn there is a fee just to estimate a job running into the thousands, and a January 2024 reviewer was charged $211 for a problem that came back. Others describe the opposite — transparent pricing, no hidden costs, consent before charges — so the pattern is about what is agreed on the phone, not the invoice at the end. Get the licence question answered, get the callout and troubleshooting fees in writing before anyone is dispatched, and this is a fast, technically confident electrician for panel trouble, outlet and switch work, alarms and EV charging.
