LIT Electric of Massachusetts describes itself as a woman, minority owned and operated electrical contracting company serving residential and commercial clients, and its website gives A1 Electrical Contractor License #9315. It reports 3 years in business. In a 2025 review, a customer wrote that he came in and got their electrical project done fast and on budget, and talked them into new recessed lights in the dining room. In a 2024 review, a customer wrote that Matt was ready to install their EV charger at the last minute despite his busy schedule, was on time, and cleaned up all the pieces after the work. A 2023 review described an entire electric panel and service upgrade from an old 1960's box to a modern 200AMP one, along with an electric vehicle charger installation. In a separate 2023 review, a customer wrote that Matt advised a 200 amp upgrade instead of the sub-panel they first wanted and explained why, and that Matt and his workmate John were professional and polite; in that 2023 review the customer also wished the breakers had been labeled. A 2023 review for a car EV home charger installation said Matt charged a reasonable price, and a 2023 review for recessed light fittings called his communication excellent and his quote fair and within budget. A 2026 review gave one star for rude, bad service. In 2024, a customer wrote that the company was very rude when called.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from LIT Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range
$530 – $1,100
Typical electrical project around $820
Rude, bad service
Great communication, was able to come in and get my electrical project done fast and on budget , he even talked us in to doing some new recessed lights in the dining room .
Not a friendly company, was very rude when called, will not use this company.
Had to get the EV charger installed in last minute and Matt was ready to do it for us even in his busy schedule. Never had issue in getting in touch with him. Always responded with exact details Was on time for work, work was very neat and even cleaned up all the pieces after the work. Would definitely use his services again in future
I recently had recessed light fittings done at my place by Matt. His communication was excellent, and he provided a fair quote within my budget. The job he did was amazing! I'll gladly refer him to friends for future needs.
