M&W Heating, Inc.

M&W Heating has been a Pittsfield fixture since 1955 — 71 years by the count on its BBB profile, incorporated in 1959, with Craig Coons listed as its principal contact. It is certified as a Women Business Enterprise by the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office, #20240184, verified active on the state registry. The work is mechanical: heating, HVAC, sheet metal and plumbing. BuildZoom counts 28 permitted projects — largely commercial and institutional plumbing, gas, sheet-metal and HVAC jobs across Berkshire County — and scores the profile a 98. Procore's listing puts the company in the same trades around Pittsfield: metals, HVAC, equipment and plumbing. In 2017, a BuildZoom reviewer wrote that M and W Heating performed work on their site, said the crew performed well, and would hire them again. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts plumbing business licence, #2040, and a Massachusetts sheet metal business licence for the company. Those come from the directory's profile, so run both through the state's licensee lookup yourself. This is the shop for heating and sheet-metal work with a commercial edge — boilers, gas piping, ductwork — more than for a quick household service call. Ask first whether they take residential jobs of your size, confirm the licences on the state register, and get the scope and price in writing before work begins.
