A Google customer with a major leak at their hot water tank says Mike came in a timely manner and fixed the leak, and they had hot water again. On its Better Business Bureau profile, M.P. Gionet & Son Plumbing & Heating says it offers plumbing and heating services for residential and commercial needs. On Google it holds 4 stars from 8 ratings. A 2026 customer said the company installed the plumbing and heating for their new construction and that they were still paying out of pocket three years later to fix it. That 2026 customer said a sewer smell came through their mini splits, and that someone qualified later found the condensation line plumbed directly into the septic vent with no P-trap. The same 2026 customer also said the shower drain leaked from day one, the outside mini-split unit was set on dirt instead of a poured pad, and exterior spigots installed at an angle let the anti-freeze function fail and flooded their basement. A 2021 customer said they received no response from the company. Massachusetts lists a plumber licence, 15811-PL-M, as active, held by Michael Gionet.
Great company and very personable plumber! We had a major leak at our Hot Water tank, Mike was able to come in a timely manor and fixed the leak! We have hot water again YEAH!
Very bad work and dishonest. They installed the plumbing and heating for our new construction and did so many things wrong we are still paying out of pocket 3 years later to fix it. When we confronted them about a sewer smell coming through our mini splits they acted dumb and had “no idea what it could be”. When we had someone qualified look they found that the condensation line had been plumbed directly into the septic vent. No P-trap or u-bend of any kind. Every time we turned on the kitchen or bathroom exhaust we filled the house with septic gas. The shower drain leaked day one because it was never secured properly. The outside unit for the mini split was supposed to have a pad poured but they just plopped it on dirt and walked away. Now it’s falling over. They also installed the exterior spigots at an angle so the anti freeze function failed and flooded our basement. And chose to secure the outside spigots with drywall screws. I could continue but you get the point. Please avoid for your own good.
I received no response from them. I have heard they are a good plumbing unit but not for me.
