Fifteen years of five-star reviews, and the same names keep coming up — Jonathan Verrengia, Tim, Mike, Jeff — walking homeowners through slab after slab until the right piece of stone turns up. Marble and Granite, Inc. runs a showroom and warehouse at 270 University Ave in Westwood, with sister locations in Connecticut and New York; the company says it has been importing stone since 1990, co-founded by Gian Luca Fiori and Paul Cocciardi, who still run it. It's fundamentally a natural stone wholesaler — marble, granite, quartz and quartzite for countertops — rather than a general remodeling outfit, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The reviews run deep and stay positive: 4.5 stars on Google from 19 ratings and a perfect 5.0 from 4 reviews on Houzz, with accounts stretching from a 2013 Houzz review to a five-star Google review posted this month describing a smooth handoff from slab selection through the installation of a marble kitchen countertop. In a 2021 review, a customer described an hour-and-a-half visit where staff pulled multiple soapstone slabs from the same lot just to match the veining a buyer wanted. In 2023 reviews, one customer said a rep spent hours tracking down fabricators for a small remnant job with no sale guaranteed, and another described staff locating a matching remnant slab of stone bought three years earlier after storm damage to a kitchen. The written record blends two audiences — homeowners doing a single kitchen or bath project alongside designers, builders and kitchen shops who send their own clients here, several of whom describe multi-year working relationships. Across all of it, there's no complaint or dispute on file. For anyone choosing the actual slab for a kitchen or bath countertop — rather than hiring someone to design or build the whole room — this is a long-running, consistently well-reviewed stop; some customers in these reviews drove down from New Hampshire just to see the selection in person.

I have been building houses for over 35 years. About 15 years ago, I started buying my slabs from Marble & Granite. Working with Jonathan has been nothing short of perfection. Service and accountability are the best. The products that they import and customer service are a rare find in our industry. Koby kempel Pegasus Custom Homes
M&G provides excellent quality material and service. I purchased 2 slabs of quartzite that couldn't be found at any other warehouse. I highly recommend shopping with them.
This place is incredible! Highly recommend for any renovation, upgrade or project! Jonathan was the best to work with, From start to finish. He is so knowledgeable, and walked me through everything I needed to know and was super patient. Can’t recommend this place and Jonathan Verrengia enough! The quartz is beautiful!!
We had an excellent experience from start to finish. Tim was incredibly patient and knowledgeable as he walked us through the showroom, answered all of our questions, and helped us choose the perfect marble countertops for our kitchen. He made the selection process easy and enjoyable without ever making us feel rushed. Once it was time for installation, Mike made sure everything went smoothly. He was professional, attentive, and took the time to ensure we were completely satisfied with the final product. The craftsmanship and quality exceeded our expectations, and our new marble countertops look amazing. We highly recommend this company for their outstanding customer service and beautiful work!
As a first time kitchen renovator, I was nervous about selecting stone for our countertops. I worked with both Christian and Jonathan Verrengia and they were both fantastic. They explained the process, the different stones and finishes (pros and cons of each type) and connected me with a fabricator. The selection was incredible! There were some really interesting slabs and it was fun to walk around and see what caught my eye. I eventually figured out what I wanted and Jonathan found the two perfect slabs. On my second trip to confirm my purchase, Jonathan had the quartzite slabs set out to view upon my arrival. They were in fact PERFECTLY beautiful! Thank you so much Marble and Granite for helping me create my dream kitchen. I am so grateful for your help and expertise!
