Marcus Refinishing INC

Marcus Refinishing is an East Falmouth company that opened in 2008 doing bathtub and hardwood floor refinishing and has since grown into full bathroom and kitchen remodeling across Cape Cod, run by owner Marcus, who's on site for every job, with Michelle handling scheduling and communication. It holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration and a Better Business Bureau A+ grade. The refinishing work that built the company's name shows up constantly in reviews: reglazing a decades-old cast iron tub to look brand new, repairing a cracked fiberglass tub enclosure and coming back on his day off to fix a bubble in the finish, and turning a peeling, discolored tub from beige to white in a single visit. Several customers describe Marcus repairing rather than replacing a cracked tub, saving significant money over a full replacement, and multiple reviewers say they've used him more than once over the years for different rooms. The company has also taken on larger remodeling jobs with the same consistency. An August 2026 review described restoring a 1970s bathroom while preserving its original green wall tile. A March 2026 review described a full bathroom remodel — new walls, tile, electrical, vanity, toilet, trim, and an expanded shower. A September 2024 review described splitting one bathroom into two. And a February 2026 review described a full kitchen remodel from design through installation, including cabinets, tile and flooring, that the customer called smooth and professionally handled throughout. The reviews are strikingly consistent on the same handful of qualities: punctuality, clear communication about scheduling and process, protecting the surrounding room before work begins, and leaving everything clean afterward. Every one of the 69 written reviews on file, spanning 2021 through 2026, is five stars, and eleven of them landed in just the past six months with none negative. Google shows a matching 5-star rating from 116 ratings. For a Cape Cod homeowner, the refinishing work is the deepest, most consistent thread here — cracked or dated tubs and tile brought back to like-new condition — but the company has clearly branched into complete bathroom and kitchen remodels with the same reputation for tidy, well-communicated work.
