Mario & Son Roofing Contractor is a roofing business that describes itself on Angi as family owned and operated, with 2 employees and no subcontractors. In a 2011 Angi review, a homeowner who needed a new roof said they hired Mario and Son largely because Mario promised his crew could start right away and his price was competitive. That customer said Mario quoted the price verbally and put it in writing when asked, and that the crew, typically three, took 4-5 days where bigger roofers were estimating 1-2. The same customer called the work terrific and said they cleaned up after each workday and took measures to protect the surroundings. In a 2010 review, a customer said they called about a leak in the roof of their son's house, spent about $500, and that the company responded quickly with no problem since. In a 2006 review, a customer said the company responded quickly before rain and there were no further leaks, though the price seemed high for the time spent. A 2009 review says they cleaned up everything and the new roof looks great. In a 2012 review, a customer said they forgot to replace the gutter on the side of the house, water then leaked to the garage, and they agreed to replace the gutter. In a 2005 review, a customer said they were totally disappointed at spending so much money on partial porch roofs that were done only 50% and look ugly.

They did a fine job, but they forgot to replace the gutter on the side of my house. Then water leaked to the garage. They agreed to replace the gutter.
Recently purchased a home that was in need of a new roof. Thought we would be able to get through the winter but discovered during a moderate rain storm that we would not. After securing several bids we hired Mario and Son Roofing, largely because Mario promised his crew could start right away. And his price was competitive. Potential customers should be advised that Mario is an old-school contractor. He quoted a price verbally, and I demanded he put it in writing, which he did, but I think he's used to reaching an agreement with customers in a less formal fashion than many Angie's List members might find uncomfortable and unfamiliar. The work was terrific. His crew was small on most days, typically three, and that meant the job was 4-5 days versus 1-2 that bigger roofers were estimating. They cleaned up after each workday and took appropriate measure to protect the surroundings. They were punctual and friendly. We would definitely hire Mario again and recommend him highly.
I spent about $500 at that time. There was a leak in the roof of my son?s house. As he was leaving for vacation and he wanted to get the roof fixed quickly. So, I called this company. They responded quickly and did a good job. There hasn?t been any problem since then. I will use them again in the future if required.
Went very well cleaned up everything. New roof looks great.IRMA B R.
Responded quickly to my request, which was very good since it rained soon afterward, thus avoiding more damage. For the time spent, the price seemed high, but I was grateful to have this done quickly. I am having difficulty commenting on the quality of the work, since I am not a roofer. But it seems to have done the job. There have been no further leaks.
