Mark Pereira takes the time to explain the work — that is what a June 2026 Google reviewer remembered after he installed a new outlet for their range, saying he walked them through everything, explained the options and made sure no detail was overlooked. That reviewer recommended "Mark and his son" and called the workmanship clean and professional. Mark Pereira Electric is based at 172 State Rd in South Deerfield. The company's site says it has been in business 16 years, offers free estimates, is insured, and lists Greenfield, Montague, Deerfield, Amherst and Northampton as its service area. Its Massachusetts electrician licence, #10065-EL-B, is active on the state registry, held by Mark Pereira. Google shows 5 stars from 12 ratings, and the five written reviews run from 2020 to 2026. A September 2025 reviewer said Mark responded quickly and squeezed them into his schedule. In an August 2021 review, a customer with several things needing attention across the house said Mark "took care of" them all. A May 2020 reviewer described a variety of projects at two older residences over the previous few years and called his prices reasonable, and a February 2020 reviewer who hired him twice for electrical work needed to sell a house said he called ahead and arrived as expected. A testimonial on the company's own site describes him hooking up electricity for a hot tub and a garage.
Mark recently installed a new outlet for our range, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Mark was not only incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but he took the time to walk me through everything, explain our options, ask thoughtful questions, and make sure no detail was overlooked. What really stood out was how mindful and strategic he is in his approach. He clearly thinks several steps ahead, considers the bigger picture, and takes genuine pride in doing things the right way rather than just the quickest way. That's exactly the kind of person you want working on your home! The workmanship was beautiful, clean, and professional from start to finish. It's rare to find someone who combines technical skill, attention to detail, and great communication so well. I would absolutely recommend Mark and his son to anyone looking for quality electrical work.
Mark was fantastic to work with. He was quick to respond to our inquiry, professional and able to squeeze us into his schedule. He'll be our first call on future projects.
Mark is great! Very knowledgeable, explained what he was doing, very professional, and flexible -- I had several things that needed addressed across the house and Mark took care of every one! Would absolutely hire Mark again.
Mark is a skilled, experienced electrician who has completed a variety of projects for us over the last few years at two older residences. He's always my first call for electric work. Great guy, reasonable prices, pleasant to deal with. Recommend!
I contacted Mark on two occasions for some electrical work required for selling my house. He responded very quickly and did exactly what was needed efficiently. He called me to say when he would come by and arrived just as expected. If I were not selling my house and moving away I would rely on Mark for every electrical service needed. I wish I had known about him earlier!
