A 2023 Boston Globe story about a kitchen remade inside its existing footprint — same walls, the island reoriented — named Freddie Bisceglia of Marquis Building & Design among the people who worked on it. If your project is an older house in the Boston suburbs — a kitchen rebuilt without moving walls, a renovation that has to work around what is already there — this is a sensible outfit to talk to. Ask Bisceglia to walk you through two or three finished projects of similar scope and vintage, get the registration and a certificate of insurance in writing before work starts, and have the cabinetry and tile allowances spelled out in the contract, since those are the line items that tend to move on a renovation.
