McConnell Plumbing and Heating is a family-operated Medford plumbing and heating company, and boilers figure in its fullest reviews. The website says Ken McConnell Sr. founded it in 1984 and that his sons Ken Jr. and Kevin run it. Angi shows 5.0 from 18 ratings, and BBB lists an A+ grade. In January 2025, a customer wrote that Ken McConnell, his brother and helpers installed a new boiler that was a major upgrade, coming even on a weekend. In two January 2025 reviews, customers who had used the company more than once described its range: one listed a gas hot water heater replacement, gas pipes added for a gas dryer, gas boiler service and a complete renovation of a full and half bath; the other a home heating system replacement and a kitchen renovation, at fair pricing. Another January 2025 customer wrote that Ken explained every step and either answered the phone or called right back. The fullest older account is a September 2019 review. The customer wrote that in July of 2018 Ken and his crew replaced a 25 years old boiler with a new condensing boiler, working with an electrician; when air trapped in the system and a circulator gave trouble around Thanksgiving, they came twice and replaced the defective circulator at no additional charge. Angi lists Master Plumber for the company, and the website says it offers 24-hour emergency service.
Ken McConnell, his brother and helpers were super efficient and responsive. My new boiler is a major upgrade. McConnell Plumbing responded quickly , even coming on a weekend. Excellent to work with them & highly recommend!
Ken McConnell was professional, extremely knowledgeable and happy to work within our timeframe. He was also accessible when we had questions or concerns and was able to explain every step in our job in ways we could understand Any time we called him he either answered the phone or immediately called us back. I wouldnt consider using anyone else!
