A 2025 customer said their 25-year-old A/C condenser was replaced with a 3-ton cooling coil and a heat pump condenser, done as quoted and completed in one day. A 2025 reviewer wrote that they came on time to put in a mini split system and that the whole house was cool afterward. A 2023 customer said Bill McGinley's quote for a boiler replacement was the lowest of five by several thousand dollars, and that there was not one day without heat or hot water during the replacement. A 2022 customer, retired from 40 years in construction, said they installed a heat pump and an oil-fired furnace and insulated the take offs and trunk line. A 2022 reviewer described an emergency furnace replacement that was quick, at a price that was right. A 2025 customer said the owner kept saying he would get back to them about extra work for weeks, and that they could not book an install time. A 2024 customer said a heat pump broke down in late December and warranty service was still not done by March 20, with multiple appointments where no one showed up. A 2024 reviewer said the removal of an oil tank and both AC units badly damaged a door frame, that $250 came off the bill, and that after a unit leaked its refrigerant they were put off for at least 3 months. A 2024 customer said booking an install time was slow once the money was received, and that the initial install did not function properly. Its Better Business Bureau grade is B-.
We had our existing A/C condenser (25 yrs old) replaced with a 3 ton cooling coil installed with a heat pump condenser. Price was reasonable compared to other suppliers. Work was done as quoted and completed in 1 day. We are very happy with their work and professionalism.
They did an upgrade to my heating system and added a hot water tank a few years back and I paid in full and no problems/concerns/issues at the time. A few months later, I did mention we still do not have enough hot water and the hot and cold blending is not working properly. No response, he said the system was being over used. This Spring of 2025, I asked to come back to do some extra work, The owner kept telling me he will get back to me, and this went on for weeks. I kept calling and calling, they are unresponsive and not able to book an install time, I will not longer be using there service and not a professional company
They came on time and were very friendly. Very knowledgeable about the best way to put the mini split system in! My whole house is cool and comfortable. Very quiet system, so nice to just sit back and enjoy my nice cool house. I highly recommend you use them to do anything you need done. Thank you for doing a great job!
Very professional. But could have cleaned up after themselves a little better in the attic. I had a small issue and they got back to me right away and took care of it. I would highly recommend McGinley and Sons heating and Air Conditioning to anyone looking to install central air.
Customer experience was poor, once the money was received they were very slow and at times unresponsive to be able to book an install time, the initial install did not function properly, they had provided the electrician incorrect information as to what supplies would be needed, etc
