A 2026 Google customer said they ran out of oil on a freezing, rainy Saturday night, called, and McGuire's came over within the hour and filled them up. On its website the company describes itself as a locally owned, family-operated business in Southeastern Connecticut, established in 2016, and lists a service area that includes Norwich, Preston, Groton and New London. A 2025 customer wrote that McGuire's has never failed to fit them into the schedule the same or next day when the tank ran low. A 2024 reviewer said Jim came out the same day after they ran out of oil during a cold snap in their first oil-heated home. A 2023 customer said a delivery man came into the basement to look at a broken fuel level gauge, took the part off, and told them where to buy a new one locally and how to install it. That 2023 customer also said the company was helpful when they used state heating oil assistance programs. A 2026 customer of 40 years said they could not get a delivery after an office employee said their gravel driveway was not adequately sanded and salted. A 2026 reviewer who asked for the current oil price was told the company was not taking new customers. A 2022 customer said no one would come in because they did not want anybody getting sick, and that they were once charged for restarting a boiler that had restarted by itself.
