The work is wood and nothing else — installing unfinished and prefinished hardwood, sanding, refinishing, custom staining, and repairing damaged boards, for homes and commercial spaces alike. The company says it covers Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, and that Apkarian has more than 25 years in the trade. The reputation reads consistently across places that don't share a review pool: 5 stars on Google, 4.7 on both Angi and HomeAdvisor, and an A+ grade from the BBB. Two customers wrote this spring, and both told the same kind of story — a February kitchen refinish where old damage was repaired and blended in so the patched sections didn't read as patches, the house left clean, the schedule kept. It's a small body of reviews, but it stretches back to 2010 and hasn't wobbled. One thing to correct in your head before you call: the company's own site describes it as a BBB Accredited Business, and the BBB's own page says plainly that it is not accredited. The A+ grade is real; the accreditation isn't. Worth knowing simply because it's the kind of detail you'd want a contractor to get right about himself. The practical caveat is capacity, not quality — a sole proprietor books out and works one job at a time, so ask about the calendar early if your floors are on a remodel's critical path. Massachusetts doesn't require home improvement contractor registration for floor-covering-only work, so don't read anything into its absence here; do ask about insurance and about dust control, since refinishing puts your whole house downwind of a sander.

Matt refinished and repaired our kitchen hardwood floors during a remodel and we couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish he was professional, friendly, and extremely easy to work with. He showed up when he said he would, communicated clearly throughout the process, and treated our home with care and respect. The quality of his work was outstanding — the floors came out absolutely beautiful and look brand new. The repairs blended perfectly and you would never know there was any damage there before. MDA came in performed estimate, fast and extremely curtious. Came back one week later and performed the floor refinish, they keep all adjoining dust free. Finished in 3 days as promised. Could not have gone smoother. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Matt is friendly, trustworthy, honest and hard working man. He was always on time and did a very great job. The job was on schedule as promised and l am very pleased with his job. His rates is very reasonable as well. I am a landlord and have dealt with neighborhood handyman, most are lair and did a poor job. I would recommend Matt to anyone that need his service as I am keeping him for all my wooding works on my properties.
