Its website lists a service area across the South Coast and beyond, from Fairhaven, New Bedford, Fall River and Dartmouth out to Plymouth, Barnstable and Raynham, and describes the company as a family-run business. A 2026 customer who bought a 1950 house in Fairhaven said the circuit breaker box was replaced, and that the old box had remnants of a mouse nest inside it. A 2026 customer said Mark replaced all of their interconnected smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, installed Ring Alarm Listeners and the base station, and ran a wire to a detector by the furnace that was missing wiring. A 2026 customer said Mark replaced old, non-functioning porch lights. In a 2025 review, a customer said Mark upgraded their house and detached garage to 200 amp service in less than a week, and the inspection came back clean. A 2025 customer said Mark replaced everything from the drop on the house down, including the old electric box, and added a cut out switch so a generator could run through the panel. A 2025 customer said Mark installed a chandelier and reattached a baseboard heater that had been installed improperly. A 2025 customer said M Electric helped turn a rundown basement into a mancave. Price is the one sore point. A 2025 customer called Mark's work very good but said $826 to install one exterior outlet on a deck seemed excessive, and advised getting a quote and his billing rate before work begins.
Wish I could give 100 stars. 5 doesn't do justice. Mark is a wonderful person and his skill level is off the charts. We just purchased a house in Fairhaven that was built in 1950 and in need of electrical updating. One of the many improvements they did was replacing our circuit breaker box. Our old box actually had remnants of a mouse nest inside of it. Mark and Phil tackled our issues professionally and with a very reasonable price. We just moved back to the area after living in Florida for 12+ years and bought our forever home. I don't want to mess around with faulty wiring. Now my wife and myself can live comfortably knowing our electrical system is safe and up to date. Thanks Mark and Phil!!
We had him replace all our interconnected Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors. Mark also installed Ring Alarm Listeners and the base station required for the system. He also noticed missing wiring to a detector by the furnace and ran a wire to ensure our safety. He took the time to answer all our questions, tested the system and made sure it also sent a notifications to the Ring app on our Phone. Very professional, great communication skills and takes great pride in his work. A pleasure to work with. Moving forward he is definitely our go to Electrician.
Mark and crew went above and beyond to get our newly purchased home (that had several various electrical needs) upgraded, completed on schedule providing a quality work product! They worked long hours and did not leave until the job was completed. They hold themselves to the highest standards as their goal is a quality end result with 100% customer satisfaction. As a result it's win for the customer. We have worked with M Electric in the past and knew we had found the best! There is no other electrical company that compares with quality, price, communication and product! We will continue to be repeat customers for any electrical needs and highly recommend M Electric! You will not be disappointed.
Mark replaced my old, non-functioning porch lights. He was quick, efficient and extremely professional. I have another job lined up and look forward to working with him again. I'd highly recommend Mark for any electrical project.
Mark’ s work is very good but make sure you get a quote on what you want done before proceeding so you are not shocked when he submits the bill. Find out what his billing rate is before proceeding. In response the materials need to install one exterior outlet on my deck was minimal. It just seemed to me that $826 to install one outlet seemed excessive.
