Merit Quality Pools is a Torrington pool company whose BBB profile describes swimming pool sales, service and supplies. Its site says it has been in business 62 years. A recent customer said the staff are polite and knowledgeable and have often spared them unnecessary costs. A 2024 customer said their new filter pump would not run, John came out the next day and took the pump back to Merit, and they replaced it the next day. A 2024 customer said the company fixed a leak in their pool and left everything neat. A 2024 customer said Sarah gave specific chemical instructions, including written ones, and their pool was clear after about a week. A 2022 customer said the company knew how to deal with the algae in their pool and it was crystal clear within four hours. A 2022 customer said they paid $9,750 for a custom liner and its installation, the liner did not fit in the four corners of the pool, and the owner, Jon Truskauskas, quoted $10,263.40 to repair it. That 2022 customer also said the pool lights were taken and never returned and a blue stone step was broken.
