MGR General Construction

MGR General Construction is a Revere, MA outfit whose own site pitches full-service construction — carpentry, framing, siding, roofing, tile, windows, kitchens, and painting — across a stated 100-mile radius with 24/7 availability. On Angi and HomeAdvisor, though, the company describes a narrower focus: exterior trim and paint, framing repairs, and siding work, with ten years of experience rather than the twenty its own website claims. Its Google page shows a perfect five stars across seven ratings, but the four reviews on file, all posted in February 2026, are short on specifics — "10/10 best construction in the state," "excelentes trabajos," "excelente servicio." One reviewer writes in Spanish that the business's worker has been her best friend for as long as she can remember, which is worth knowing when weighing how arm's-length that praise is. Before calling, it's worth asking about licensing: the Massachusetts registry shows MGR's home improvement contractor registration has lapsed. And the company's own claims don't fully agree with each other — its website advertises round-the-clock emergency service, while its Angi and HomeAdvisor listings say it does not offer emergency work. For someone in the Revere area needing framing or siding repair — the two things its own directory profiles keep naming — MGR is worth a conversation, but get a current copy of its home improvement registration and confirm which of its self-reported numbers, years in business and emergency availability among them, actually apply before signing anything.
