Mike Antoon has spent four decades on one kind of job: kitchens, baths, basements and additions in and around Methuen, drawn on paper first and then built by him and a small crew. His permit history runs 30 projects between 2008 and 2020 — mostly Methuen, plus Westford, Newburyport and Framingham — and his Houzz gallery shows a Forest Lake kitchen renovation that one of his own reviewers describes from the inside. The written accounts are unusually detailed for a small contractor, and they keep circling the same trait: he sits down and designs before anyone swings a hammer. In a March 2017 Houzz review, a homeowner with a disability described hiring him to rework a kitchen, sunroom and great room so the house would keep working for her long term, and wrote that he and Paul showed up on time, the subs were good, and the house was left clean at the end of each day. Another March 2017 reviewer described a laundry and sunroom added over a full basement, with an in-wall ironing board and a work sink among his suggestions. A third, the same week, described a Forest Lake cottage that got a new loft, a gutted kitchen and a remodeled guest bath, plus repairs to problems earlier contractors had left behind. Two Angi reviewers in November 2025 are shorter and just as warm — one credits him with designing all the cabinetry for a custom home's kitchen, four baths and laundry, another says the job finished on time and on budget. Two things to weigh before calling. Six of the eight written accounts land in a single week of March 2017, which reads as a one-off push through his client list rather than a steady stream, so the 5.0 on Houzz rests on that week nine years ago. And his Angi profile now describes him as semi-retired and lists design and consulting only — interior space planning, bathroom design, kitchen design. The permit history says builder; that page says designer. Settle which one you're hiring before you plan around him. On credentials, BuildZoom says it checked Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration #182540 as active in March 2026, and Houzz lists CLS 026645 on the construction-supervisor side, which is the ordinary two-licence shape rather than a discrepancy. A second, older home improvement registration in his name, #143871, is listed as inactive and at one point cancelled. None of that has been confirmed against the state registry here, so ask him for the current number and check it yourself; Angi lists no number at all, only 'Insured', and states free estimates are not offered. If you want someone who will draw the room and then build it, he fits — with the caveat that most of the written praise is nine years old and the scope of what he still takes on may have narrowed.

Mike designed all cabinetry for my custom home… kitchen, 4 baths and my laundry room. His attention to detail is second to none! Even better - he listens and actually HEARD what I wanted. His suggestions and added finishing touches took the design from fine to extraordinary! He is also a cabinet maker and while he wears the design hat - he is always thinking about how installers will work with and install his designs. I am likely building another home in the near term and I won't use anyone but Mike Antoon! (job value stated as $100,000)

We hired mike to design and make our rooms functional for us. This was a big undertaking for us a kitchen sunroom and great room were what we wanted and a flow for our home that was functional for us but workable with my disabilitys that I have and for our future living here. Mike sat down with us designed what we wanted and helped us through the bumps in the road that occurred with professionalism. Mike and Paul were always on time, hard working and his subs were of top Quality. Our house was always left clean at the end of each day. I wish we could give more stars we smile and love our new spaces and would recommend him to others. If you are fortunate to have Mike do your Dream you won't be sorry. Mike goes over and above his craftsmanship and vision are top knotch. Thanks to Mike and his detail to his work it shows in every aspect of our new kitchen, sunroom and great room. Wow. Thanks

Approximately 3 years ago we hired Mike Antoon to add a laundry and sunroom with a full basement to the back of our split entry home. We also ask him to renovate the downstairs for our daughter, complete with bathroom, front to back living and bedroom areas. The mudroom was transformed into an office area. Mike was very attentive to details and made many suggestions, such as an in-wall ironing board, work sink, storage and hanging areas for laundry. The windows are beautiful, and we enjoy watching the birds feeding in the yard. We were 110% satisfied with Mike's work ethics.

Mike Antoon and his coworkers/subcontractors are all great to work with. Mike sat down with us from start to finish through the entire design, execution and finishing touches phases of our recent kitchen remodel. We had previously hired Mike to do our Master bathroom as well as our mudroom and first floor powder room. We have had nothing but great experiences working with Mike and would hire him for future projects. Mike pays extremely close attention to detail so that all aspects of the job come out structurally perfect and also looking like the visions you have in mind from the beginning. He is extremely knowledgeable and will work with you until things look and function just the way you want.
