Mike Long Electrician holds 5 stars from 2 ratings on Google. In a recent review, a customer with a major power outage issue says Mike was not free to come over but patiently asked several questions about their situation and narrowed down the problem: one of the legs was not working, and he came to think it could be from the meter or electric pole. The customer then contacted Eversource, which confirmed one leg was dead and the other under-powered and installed new wires to the house the same day; the customer says power came back the same day on Easter weekend, largely because of Mike's help. In a 2021 review, a customer who called about potentially replacing a bathroom fan said Mike gave advice over the phone: check the venting/duct for kinks or collapses and that the inlet and outlet flaps are operational, install an in-line humidistat, and consider an in-line booster fan to increase the output. That 2021 customer said that since Mike was very busy, he gave advice instead of telling them to find someone else.
I called Mike when we were having a major power outage issue. He was not free to come over, but patiently asked several questions about our situation and was able to narrow down the problem. One of the legs was not working. With more questions, he came to think it could be from the meter or electric pole. I contacted Eversource, they came out and confirmed one of the legs was dead and the other under-powered. New wires to the house were installed the same day by Eversource. This was Easter weekend, and largely because of Mike's generous sharing of his time and expertise we were able to get power back the same day! He will definitely be our electrician, when the need arises.
Mike gave me excellent advice over the phone when I called to inquire about potentially replacing a bathroom fan. Mike suggested, before installing a new system, three things most other electricians entirely overlooked: 1. Check the venting/duct for kinks or collapses, and also check that the inlet and outlet flaps are operational. 2. Install an in-line humidistat. And 3. Consider adding an in-line booster fan to increase the output. Excellent advice other companies neglected. Also, since he was very busy, he gave me advice instead of telling me to find someone else. Mike is a very smart and knowledgeable electrician with a genuine interest in helping people.
