Ronei Andrade's name is in nearly every review Millbrook Construction has collected, and that is the through-line: a two-person Saugus S-corp where the owner runs the job himself, on site, explaining the sequence. The BBB records the business as started in April 2004, with twenty-two years behind it, serving residential and commercial customers alike. The work customers describe is specific and varied. In an October 2020 review a homeowner wrote that Andrade and his team gutted and remodeled their kitchen and walked them through the whole process, calling the crew professional, trustworthy, reliable and clean. A January 2021 reviewer described a family-room fireplace built with an interior gas fixture, and remembered Andrade taking his shoes off at the door before the first meeting. In October 2024 a customer wrote about swapping a thirteen-year-old wood deck for composite, and being pleased enough to hire the company again for painting and patio sealing. Now the part worth reading slowly, because the star counters overstate the crowd. HomeAdvisor shows 5.0 from eleven reviews on a histogram reading 100% five-star — but all eleven land inside a seven-month burst between October 2020 and April 2021 and nothing has been posted since; at least three duplicate reviews already on Houzz or Angi; one household reviewed the same kitchen remodel twice; one reviewer writes as a trade referrer rather than a customer, and another reads as a builder appraising a fellow builder on an $800,000 job. On BuildZoom, all three reviews went up inside two weeks of October 2015, and one of the three says outright that they had never met the company. Set the duplicates and the non-customers aside and the count of distinct homeowners falls well below the platform totals. The credentials want checking too. BuildZoom lists three Massachusetts records for the company: home improvement contractor number 172897, which it verified active in March 2026; a second HIC number, 211816, marked inactive and at one point cancelled; and construction supervisor number CS-98703, which it could not verify with the licensing board. None of that is a state-registry confirmation. The BBB grades it A+ with no complaints and no government actions on file, though accreditation began only on 2 April 2026 — four months ago — and that grade is BBB's own assessment, not a customer score. Its Houzz page, where the newest reviews live, currently carries a suspended-profile banner with the business details hidden. One more thing to weigh: the BBB records two employees, while the directory service lists run to twenty-eight and thirty-five items covering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, septic, excavation and asbestos. Read those as directory tagging and ask who will actually be doing the work on your job. Millbrook is a reasonable call for a kitchen gut, a deck, or a whole-house renovation where a hands-on owner-builder is what you want. Ask for the current registration number and run it against the state yourself, ask which trades get subcontracted, and ask for two homeowners from the last year — the written accounts thin out after 2024.

The Millbrook team has helped me out with a couple of small projects. Small for them, but important to me. On each occasion, the extended team has listened well and paid attention to the details of what I was asking - even making recommendations for improvements on the task at hand that I hadn't considered and turned out great! They get the job done and are professional, courteous, and always clean up after. Additionally, communications to secure time with this team are always highly responsive which is so helpful to a homeowner when planning. I highly recommend this company! I have had nothing but positive experiences with them!

I hired Millbrook construction to replace my 13 year old wood deck with a new composite deck and I can't say enough good things about their work and timeliness of completing the project. In fact I was so pleased with their craftsmanship and attention to detail that I hired them after the deck completion to paint my front entryway and door as well as power wash and sealing my stone patio and brick walk way. My home looks lovely thanks to their work. I will hire them for all my future home projects
