The record is deep and unusually consistent: 4.6 from 41 Google ratings, 5.0 from 31 on Houzz, and written accounts running from 2015 to 2026. In July 2026 a homeowner had the entire exterior handled in one 10-week programme — solar panels removed and reinstalled, a new roof, siding removed and repaired with PVC trim and shingles, metal skirting and a full repaint — and singles out the daily cleanup and the separate roofing, siding and painting teams. A June 2026 client praises the materials and an always-accessible production manager, and a May 2026 client who interviewed three design-build firms says Mitchell's senior team members were on site most days.
What customers describe again and again is a schedule that holds. A May 2025 attic renovation with a new bathroom came in on time and on budget; a March 2025 client had a deck turned into a three-season porch with glass inserts added mid-project; a February 2025 client living through a partial bathroom remodel got daily communication; and a December 2025 addition on a 100-year-old house was designed to keep the old feel while adding space. The firm also holds on to clients: one 2025 reviewer had a kitchen and two bathrooms done over a decade earlier and says the production manager still came back to tighten sticking cabinet drawers, and another whose renovation was about 20 years ago got a dead circuit diagnosed over the phone in 2025.
Cost is the thing to go in clear-eyed about. A December 2024 client puts it plainly — they do not come cheap — while arguing the one-stop design, permitting and structural-engineering coverage is what buys the aggressive schedule. A 2023 client is blunter: they paid $10,000 for a design, received a thorough and well thought out plan that came in at more than twice their budget, and found the revised proposal's price per square foot exorbitant. Separately, a 2022 one-star review makes an allegation about an employee driving a company truck recklessly on the highway rather than about any work performed.
For a substantial renovation or addition where drawings, permits and trades all need coordinating, this is a firm with award recognition, an active state registration and a long run of on-time, on-budget accounts. State your budget ceiling before commissioning design, and ask in writing what the design fee covers and what happens if the resulting plan lands above it.

Mitchell Construction did a superb job on the exterior of our home. They managed: solar panel removal and re-installation, installation of a completely new roof, removal and repair of siding with PVC trim and shingles, installation of stunning metal skirting, and repair and repainting of the entire exterior of our house! They had exceptionally capable teams of roofers, siders and painters. The cleanup each day was exceptional! Professional, timely and well-managed every step of the 10 week process, with rain delays.

We would highly recommend the Mitchell Construction Group to anyone considering a home construction project. Overall, the quality of craftsman was outstanding. Construction materials (exterior and interior) were of the highest quality. Individual crew members were highly experienced, worked efficiently, were courteous and maintained a neat job site throughout the project. The Production Manager was always accessible and responsive throughout the entire project. During the proposal process, we were assured by the Division Director and the Production Manager that the project would be tightly managed, and brought in on time and on budget — and it to was. We would definitely use Mitchell Construction Group again if the need arises.
We spoke at length with three design/build firms before we started our project. Mitchell Construction impressed us with their organization and communications at the start. Throughout the consults and build their senior team members were here most days, were quick to respond to questions, and ensured we were happy at each stage of the build.
We have been so pleased with this project that today at the sign off, we asked them to handle our next project. They have earned our trust.
We just completed a major exterior renovation of our Victorian including a fully restored porch, new siding and roofing, masonry repair and more. We could not be happier with the result. Joe was our business contact and worked with us patiently to size and estimate the project and help us prioritize to fit our budget. Our project manager Dan kept things on track throughout the execution, providing excellent communication, attention to detail and responsiveness to change requests as the work unfolded. The lead carpenter and various subcontractors have all been excellent as well, and our circa-1900 home is ready for the next 100+ years. I would not hesitate to recommend Mitchell Construction and we will certainly use them again!
We had a phenomenal experience working with Mitchell Construction group! They helped us with an addition that involved remodeling our kitchen and half-bath and adding a primary bed/bath. It was really important to us to keep the old feel of our 100 yr old home while adding space, windows, and comfort. Gwen, our designer worked MAGIC to make all our dreams come true. Her ability to listen to exactly what we wanted and then turn it into something beautiful and functional was really amazing. She read our personality and style and worked so hard to make every detail perfect. The construction team was also incredible. Their attention to detail, and ability to customize every corner of the job to make it fit and look just right was so impressive. They were organized, efficient, and stayed on schedule! The icing on the cake was that they were so careful and considerate of my garden. They worked around all my plants and made as small a footprint as possible. My home is now perfect and will never need a renovation again... but if I ever change my mind, I'd call Mitchell right away!
