MJT Roofing

In April 2026 a Google reviewer whose roof had been further damaged by ice over the winter wrote that Manny of MJT Roofing texted on his way to the estimate, asked about the history of the house and roof, included photos, offered two roof-type options and gave best- and worst-case costs. The team came on schedule, worked sun up to sun down and finished in one day, as stated. MJT Roofing is a Columbia, Connecticut roofer that holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0628045, under MJT Roofing Construction, and says it has been in business 16 years. In March 2026 a customer whose roof MJT replaced five years earlier wrote that it had not leaked through this winter's snow and ice; when a ceiling spot appeared, Manny (the owner, per that review) came out, confirmed the roof was sound and traced the problem to squirrels in the attic. In an April 2025 review, a tree had crashed through a garage roof; that customer wrote that Manny, his crew and office staff handled the preliminary insurance negotiation, built the new roof, painted where necessary, adjusted the garage doors and disposed of ruined belongings. In a September 2023 review, Manny repaired flashing under a portion of shingles that had caused water spots on a kitchen ceiling, in less than 20 minutes. In an April 2022 review written a year after the job, a customer described leaks from a bathroom exhaust vent, the stove vent and the furnace vent after a re-shingle and skylight install; Manny came out at least four times, replaced the vents and ended the stove-vent drip with a dryer-style vent, and no leaks had recurred since. That reviewer offered to pay for the extra vents and Manny declined. In August 2026 a two-star reviewer wrote that their house was left with many seams in the back, and that the workers did not shut their gate on any day despite the request. In May 2026 a caller trying to get an updated quote wrote that the woman who answers the phone refused several requests to put them through to the roofer. In a February 2022 one-star review, a customer wrote that a project quoted at two weeks dragged on for eight months, with incorrect or insufficient materials ordered, wrong-size ground-level windows, exterior doors replaced multiple times, the house left exposed for months and a flooded basement; the company, per that review, cited COVID measurement problems. A September 2022 reviewer got a quote and never heard back after deciding to move forward. MJT Roofing holds 4.8 stars from 111 Google ratings.
