One customer has worked with Dan McClintock for over 30 years, first on maintenance and repairs to their original roof, fascia and gutters, then on a full roof replacement in 2018. A recent customer's review names a standing seam metal roof installation and praises its craftsmanship and time management. A 2026 customer said Dan McClintock worked on flashing around their chimney after other contractors had tried to fix leaks there, then referred them to a mason, met the mason at the house on a weekend and made temporary repairs until the mason could do the work. A 2026 customer said the owner assessed a leaking ice dam the day after the call, and the team came early the next morning and cleared 20 inches of snow off the entire roof; that customer said the leak stopped. A 2026 customer said the team worked in 7° weather to finish the project on time. A 2025 customer who bought a 1920 Craftsman home in Putnam said Dan's team replaced the roofing on a small stable that had been leaking for years, repaired some structural components and crafted custom caps between the gutters and the original wood supports. On that customer's main house, the 2025 review says the crew removed and reattached sections of terra cotta tile, replaced some copper elements and underlayment, and swapped out a couple of large original wood beams. A 2024 customer said they repaired issues other contractors had left on the roof of an 1810 Colonial and replaced 8 skylights, and that the customer found barely one handful of debris afterward. A 2024 customer said water damage showed up in the loft within a year of a roof replacement; Dan confirmed it was condensation, and it was repaired at no additional cost by adding vents. A 2024 customer said Dan, the owner, scaled a high roof himself to fix a leak around a vent pipe, and two of his crew later reinstalled flashing that had blown down in a windstorm. A 2024 customer said a job was done with one worker, and a few months later the same job was done with two workers and charged twice as much. A 2023 customer called the work sloppy and said they showed up on the day the customer had told them not to. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0603600, held by McClintock Roofing LLC, is active on the state registry. On Google, it holds 4.9 stars from 82 ratings.
Standing Seam Metal Roof Installation-Top of the Line Craftsmanship and Time Management from start to finish.
The best for all types of roofing and repairs. While there are a lot of so-called roofers out there, many aren't as professional as they claim. Dan McClintock and crew are honest and the very best you'll ever find. They stand out among the crowd. I wouldn't take a chance on any other. I've learned my lesson the hard way over time. Don't chance a bad job when McClintock is so dependable and stands by their work.

His professionalism, responsiveness, reliability and workmanship are unimpeachable and offered at a fair price point. Alan and Cathy Cementina Coventry, CT"
Dan is a fantastic guy, who truly loves what he does and takes pride in his work. His command of all the important details of roofing is astounding. He's happy to explain things at any level of detail you want. But the bottom line is that the roof will just work for the next two decades without you having to think about it.
After multiple attempts by other contractors to repair the leaks around our chimney, we contacted Dan McClintock. He responded quickly to our call and came to assess the problem. He worked on some flashing issues and kept us informed as he repaired the area. Dan also noticed some major issues with the chimney itself and referred us to a mason for some advice. When the mason came to inspect the chimney, Dan met him at our house – on a weekend – and assisted him with his inspection. Dan then returned to make some temporary repairs until the mason could do the necessary work. We greatly appreciate his quick response and professional follow through. He and his crew and office staff were wonderful to deal with as well. Thanks Dan!
