MMP Construction Inc is a general contractor whose customers almost all name the same person: Matt, the owner, who returns the call, prices the job and runs the crew. The work people describe splits between roofs and larger remodels. A homeowner writing in June 2019 had MMP do a complete roof replacement including a kitchen vent and duct pipe run to the roof and new attic ventilation, then hired the company again for two bathrooms — a four-month job they said left them comfortable living in the house throughout, with the crew flagging code-driven changes as they came up. A May 2019 client called three contractors about attic joists a home inspector had questioned; Matt was the only one who called back the same day, and after that job they hired him for the roof too — chimney flashing, ice and water shield, a small repair and venting channels, with no charges beyond the estimate. In December 2018 a client with a small roof repair said other companies replied that they were too busy, and MMP got it scheduled and finished ahead of a winter storm. Bigger carpentry shows up too. A November 2018 homeowner had aged entryway stairs and porches rebuilt and noted that the company pulled the permits and arranged the inspections; the start was delayed, mostly by weather, but they were told each time why. A December 2017 client had an extra bedroom built and wrote that the crew worked a weekend to make up days lost to rain, and was told up front which extras would raise the price. A June 2019 client had already hired the company once and came back for a second large-scale renovation. The complaints are smaller and older. A June 2017 reviewer had to call the company back for an area that had been missed — fixed quickly, they said — and separately thought a quote to remove a barn was far too high. A November 2016 reviewer was blunter: the crew did not bring a ladder long enough to reach the roof. Another November 2016 client said they were not given much information and ended up bringing someone else in. Cutting the other way, a January 2017 customer whose shingles blew off five months later had the company return the next day and reattach them at no new charge. Angi and HomeAdvisor each publish 4.7 stars from 191 ratings — the same pool shown twice, not two independent verdicts — and the written accounts run from 2016 to November 2022. That makes MMP a solid call for a roof, an addition or a full renovation where you want the owner personally on the job. Before signing, ask for work completed in the last year or two, get the estimate broken out line by line, and confirm who will be on site day to day.
“I was buying a new house, the home inspector had some questions about the attic joists and suggested I have a professional take a look at them. I needed it done quickly and I called three contractors. Matt from MMP was the only one that called me back the same day and agreed to come look at them the next day. He showed up on time, suggested a remedy and gave me an estimate.”
We needed a skylight installed in our bathroom, and MMP did an excellent job--we are very happy with it! The team was friendly and worked quickly and efficiently to get it done before it got dark, and the quality of their work was excellent. Matt was very friendly and nice to communicate with as well, and always responded right away. I highly recommend MMP Construction to anyone looking for great quality work and excellent customer service.
Did a great job. Excellent communication, did the job quickly, on schedule and at a very good price. Cleaned up well, were courteous and professional. Highly recommend.
This is the second time we have used MMP Construction for a large-scale renovation and both times, we were thrilled with the results and with the service level. Matt (the owner) is friendly, fair, and quick to communicate. I would (and do!) recommend MMP for any renovation you plan to undertake.
Everything went great; completed sooner than expected, at lower cost, and with no problems.
Matt, the owner of MMP, was knowledgeable, helpful, responsive and had a high level of communication. The work was of excellent quality and we are very happy with the end results. We would recommend them highly.
