Monarch Roofing

Monarch Roofing holds 5 stars from 178 Google ratings, and its customers describe the small stuff as carefully as the big jobs. A May 2025 reviewer who had been quoted close to 3k by another company wrote that Mike, the owner, got up on the roof, found nails that had rusted loose, and fixed the leak in 10 minutes at no charge. The Cromwell, CT roofer says it has 30 years in business, offers free estimates and is insured. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0660758, is active on the state registry. The BBB grades it A+. Recent reviews describe full replacements done fast. An April 2026 reviewer wrote that the roof was done in one day, with Dru, the project manager, keeping them apprised of the progress, and a January 2026 customer described a crew that finished in one day and left without even a nail remaining. In a May 2026 review, a homeowner with a large roof and a skylight wrote that Monarch had a supervisor present on the job, unlike the other companies working on the neighbors' houses. A November 2025 reviewer with health issues from mold described the team replacing the roof and underlayment as well as fascia and soffit. Two homeowners with solar panels describe Monarch working around them. In a May 2025 review, a customer wrote that Mike coordinated the entire project, with a solar contractor removing the panels before the new Certainteed Landmark Pro shingles went on and reinstalling the system afterward. A June 2026 reviewer in Middletown wrote that the team was very flexible while they had difficulty contacting the solar company to remove the panels, and that the crew added plywood to the whole roof, flashed around the chimney and added ridge vent. Honest assessments come up as well. In an October 2025 review, a customer wrote that Mike repaired the flashing on their chimney during the estimate, and a May 2023 reviewer who got 7 different quotes wrote that Monarch was the only one to tell them their ventilation was probably not up to code, quoting the work with and without the ventilation updates.
