SPZ Construction & Remodeling LLC

Sean Zito is the reason customers keep calling SPZ Construction & Remodeling — one reviewer says he has worked for them for over a decade, and a December 2021 reviewer calls him the owner. The remodeler carries a 5-star Google average across 16 ratings, and 5.0 on HomeAdvisor, Angi and Thumbtack, with written reviews from 2020 to 2026. Decks lead the job list: five customers describe one, from a new deck in May 2023 to a large wrap-around deck repaired and restored in July 2022, when Sean and John also replaced rotted exterior trim with composite and built new porch railings. One May 2023 customer liked a deck so much they had Sean add a gazebo and power wash and stain it. A July 2022 reviewer had a complete siding job and a deck done in Stonington, and said the inspector wrote "excellent job" across the permit. In March 2023 a customer described Sean's crew restoring a finished basement damaged by a burst water heater. The newest work is a bathroom remodel in October 2026, where the customer said Sean adapted to changes in the plans and kept things on track, and a July 2026 shed roof replacement where the crew cleaned up the debris. In January 2026 a customer said Sean and his crew attached a sunroom to the house and that he was prompt in responding by phone. Small jobs get taken too: a May 2022 reviewer said Sean came out for a minor window-frame repair that many contractors would not bother with. The company says it has over 35 years of experience in complete home renovations, kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions and carpentry, and its website offers free estimates and says it is insured. Connecticut lists its home improvement registration HIC.0664918, held by SPZ Construction & Remodeling LLC, as active. The BBB lists it as accredited with an A+ grade.
