Solar panels on the roof made one July 2026 replacement harder: they had to come off and go back on before the new roof went down, and when the customer's solar company couldn't support the job, Max found an electrician with a crew who got it done. That customer also had new gutters installed and wrote that they didn't have to get involved. Morrissey Construction LLC is a Cromwell, Connecticut roofing company; its website says it has been in business 20 years and lists a service area across Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, Tolland, Windham, Litchfield and Fairfield counties. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0620832, is active with the state. In July 2026 a customer near Blueback Square in West Hartford wrote that they were on time, cleaned the area after their work every day and carefully sealed areas that had been problematic for years, and that Matt personally oversaw the worksite every day. Another July 2026 customer said the team showed up on time, walked them through the whole process and priced the roof better than other quotes they got. In February 2026 a customer who had a new roof installed wrote that during a rough winter, when they had a couple of ice jams, Morrissey showed up the very next morning to take care of it. A September 2026 customer had roof, siding and windows done and praised the communication throughout. In a December 2023 review, a customer wrote that Matthew Morrissey was on-site when their roof and skylights were replaced, and that the job was completed in one day. In June 2024 Deb and Wayne of Glastonbury wrote that they watched Morrissey do their neighbors' roof and saw how organized and great they were, then used them too; they described a precise estimate, scheduling around a weather-dependent chimney repair and care for their landscaping, and said Matt and his son were amazing to deal with. On Google the company holds 5 stars from 50 ratings, and its website offers free estimates.
Excellent price service would recommend them to anyone, they did my roof, siding and windows, quick, efficient work and communicated in a timely manner throughout the entire project
Wonderful experience with roof replacement. Great communication with owner, crew was amazing for clean up, highly recommend!!!
Great experience with Morrissey Construction! The team was professional, showed up on time, and did excellent work on our roof. They walked us through the whole process and answered all our questions. The pricing was fair and honestly better than other quotes we got. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing roofing work done!
Great experience beginning to end. The project was a bit more complex due to having Solar Panels on the roof which needed to be removed and reinstalled prior to having the roof replaced. The company that supports my solar wasn't able to support the project, Max had other contacts and found an electrian with a crew that stepped up and got the job done. The best part of this project was that I entrusted Max and his team and all the activity were taken care of for me, I didn't have to get involved. In addition to the roof, I also had new gutters installed. Same success story. The teams just did what needed to be done. I am extremely satisfied with the overall workmanship of the project beginning to end. Morrissey Construction is a trusted partner and would welcome working with the team again if the opportunity should arise.
Morrissey roofing did an excellent job on our roof from start to finish. They were on time, meticulously cleaned the area after they completed their work every day, and carefully sealed all areas that had been problematic for years. The new roof has significantly enhanced the appearance and value of our West Hartford home next to Blueback Square. The price was also a very fair price. Each of the workers were very professional, polite and responsive to any of our questions and concerns. Matt personally oversaw the worksite every day and was very prompt in getting back to us always. The quality of their work is top notch. It is a relief every day knowing that a first rate professional installed this new roof and we can rely on it to not leak or cause any problems for decades to come. We highly recommend them!
