Mosquito & Tick Away

Mosquito & Tick Away is a family-owned, Mansfield-based outdoor pest control company that treats yards across Mansfield, Foxborough, Norton, Walpole, Sharon and several other South Shore towns for mosquitoes, ticks and fleas, using both organic and synthetic sprays. Its Google page holds a 4.9★ average across 47 ratings, and the pattern in the reviews is remarkably consistent: people keep saying the bugs simply stopped. Reviews running from 2021 through this spring describe a routine that repeats season after season — a spray every 3 to 4 weeks, a call ahead so pets can be brought inside, and customers on wooded or acre-plus lots reporting zero ticks even where they used to find them regularly. In a 2024 review, one customer described developing a rare blood disease from a tick bite before switching to the company and said the family hasn't had a single bite since; in a 2023 review, another described the crew's hydraulic spray equipment reaching 30 feet into the bordering woods on a nearly acre lot, with no ticks spotted afterward. Several reviewers are multi-year repeat customers, some five years running. One 2023 review is a clear exception: a customer said the service had become unreliable that year, with no advance notice before visits, and asked the company to stop coming. It's the lone complaint in an otherwise 35-review record, but worth asking about the current notification process before booking. For routine mosquito and tick control in its South Shore service area, this is a well-reviewed, consistent option — confirm the advance-notice process for pets or scheduling upfront.
