Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Norwell

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Norwell is a locally owned, independently operated franchise of the national Mr. Rooter brand, based in Norwell and serving South Shore towns from Abington and Hingham down through Marshfield and Duxbury with residential and commercial plumbing, drain cleaning, water heater work, and 24/7 emergency scheduling, by its own description. Reviewers consistently describe fast response on emergencies. One homeowner had a technician on site within an hour after a wedding ring went down a drain; another said an urgent well-pump failure was handled within three hours of calling. A third described a leaking water heater talked through by phone until a technician could get out the same day. Several reviewers name specific technicians — Josh, Jamil, Dylan — and describe them as thorough, explaining what they found and what they were doing before starting the repair. Google shows a 4.8-star rating from 21 ratings, and the seventeen written reviews on file from 2025 into 2026 back that up: fifteen five-star reviews, one four-star, and one three-star. Several reviewers specifically credited the company with pricing that held to the original quote rather than climbing once the work started. The record isn't spotless. One reviewer said a technician wasn't able to clear a clogged patio drain despite the cost of the visit, though he was credited with walking through the options and being knowledgeable about the job. Another said a technician arrived later than the scheduled window before finishing the work. For South Shore homeowners who want a plumber that answers quickly on emergencies and explains the work as it happens, the reviews here point that way consistently. It's worth confirming current pricing up front, especially for tougher drain clogs where the outcome was less certain in at least one case on file.
