Typical permit value sits around $15,000, so the everyday work is kitchens, baths, decks and re-roofs.
Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 181526, is active and held in the company's own name — checked against the state registry, not taken from a directory. Its own site additionally claims construction supervisor licence 107407, which is the company's statement rather than something confirmed here. Cory Furtado is named as owner on the BBB profile and on his own LinkedIn, which also lists a predecessor business, CMF Construction — the BBB carries that as an alternate name. The BBB grade is A+, with no complaints and no government actions published, though the business is not accredited.
The written record is where this thins out badly: two reviews, total. One, from November 2023, describes a vinyl siding, paint and exterior lighting job and praises daily clean-up and clear communication with Cory and the crew. The other, from September 2024, is a serious complaint: the customer says the electrical on a four-season porch was done wrong, that the return visit fixed it incorrectly, that another contractor told them they had been overcharged, and that gutters were refitted badly enough to put water in their basement. Two reviews cannot establish a pattern in either direction — but a specific, unresolved callback complaint is the kind of thing to raise directly.
So: ask about the callback. Ask what happens if something is wrong after final payment, and get the warranty and the punch-list process written into the contract rather than agreed on a handshake. Note too that the BBB has them at 150 Chase Street with a different phone number while the company's own site says 235 Chase Street — confirm which entity and address your contract names.
The permit history says they can genuinely run an addition or a garage build from footing to finish, which is more than most one-truck remodelers can claim. Just do the diligence the thin review base cannot do for you: ask for two recent local addresses, and call the building department in the town where they last worked.
