N.E. Disaster Restoration, Inc. is a disaster-recovery company; its BuildZoom profile says it restores homes and commercial buildings affected by fire, water, mold and storm damage across Rhode Island and surrounding areas. A 2025 customer said Mike and DJ walked them through the process after a water heater let go and destroyed their basement. In a 2025 review, a customer with water damage said Chris made the initial visit to assess it, and that DJ, Mike, Richard, Juan and Rocky worked closely with them, their insurance company and additional contractors, including a painter, plumber and wood floor specialist, to restore the house to its original condition. A 2025 customer said Chris, DJ and their crews were on time and thorough and followed the job through until the end. A 2025 customer who had a bathroom renovated said the company kept to its timeline. A recent customer, whose insurance chose the company, gave one star and said they had to call and leave messages multiple times to complete and pay the contract, and felt degraded as if they would not pay. Articles on bostonglobe.com and wpri.com cover a lawsuit over a sign and awnings the company removed from a building at a city's direction: the complaint says the removal damaged the building, and the company says the city misrepresented its legal authority.
“The company alleges it was “duped” by the city to destroy a sign and awning at Broccoli’s 898 Atwood Ave. property by misrepresenting its legal authority.”
“In February 2023, the city directed N.E. Disaster Restoration Inc. to remove and destroy a sign that had been on the building for 60 years, the suit says. The complaint claims the company removed the sign and awnings, damaging the building.”
“it sought $75,000 for damage done when the city hired N.E. Disaster Restoration Inc. to remove a sign and awnings from a building Broccoli owns.”
“Meanwhile, N.E. Disaster Restoration Inc. has filed a cross-claim in federal court, saying that the city represented to the company that it had the legal right to order the removal of the sign and awnings, and it says the city is solely liable for any damages sustained by Broccoli.”
Dont uses this company, they have beyond poor communication and poor administrative personnel. This company was chosen by my insurance and I had to contact them to come out then multiple times had to call leave messages and try to figure out how to complete the contract. Then when I called and left messages multiple times to pay / complete the contract that I signed, they degraded me like I wasn't going to pay which I did. They are not a good company or have good administrative staff. Negative star if I could. Sincerely disabled veteran
We would highly recommend NEDRI for their quick response. Chris, DJ & their crews were awesome. They were on-time, thorough, excellent workmanship and followed it through until the end.
Best company I've ever worked with. Mike and DJ walked me through the process from the time I called for my water heater that let go destroying my basement. Thank you for your hard work! We will recommend to everyone who has a disaster.
During Chris's initial visit from Northeast Disaster Restoration to assess the water damage in our home, he mentioned that your company handles everything from mold and water mitigation to full restoration promptly. Like many others in our situation, we were eager to have our house restored as quickly as possible. I would like to acknowledge DJ, Mike, Richard, Juan, and Rocky, who collaborated closely with us, our insurance company, and your additional contractors, including the painter, plumber, and wood floor specialist. They were professional and friendly, and their communication was excellent. The entire team worked together seamlessly to restore our house to its original condition. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!
Had my bathroom renovated and could not be happier. Great company to work with. Communication was key and kept to their timeline. Highly recommend.
