Neponset Valley Construction is a Norwood roofing and exterior-renovation outfit that BBB rates A+ — accredited, with categories spanning roofing, siding, decks, and window work. BuildZoom's project count is the real tell of how established it is: 304 permitted jobs on file, alongside a home improvement contractor registration BuildZoom lists as active for the company. The platform numbers are strong — Angi and HomeAdvisor both put it at 4.6 stars across 180 ratings. The individual written reviews, running from 2013 to 2015, tell a more mixed story underneath that average. A 2014 review described a $16,750 roof and a 29-window job handled by a crew whose owner stayed responsive and hands-on throughout. Another reviewer that same year called the siding and window work 'professionally done,' though it took six weeks to start and led to a dispute over whether attic cleanup was included in the contract. The complaints worth knowing about are specific. One 2014 review reported nails showing on new siding boards and gutter guards coming loose, and said that after a later ice-dam leak, calls to the company went unanswered. A 2011 local newspaper piece, by contrast, described the crew as busy fixing winter-storm roofing damage around town. BuildZoom also lists two other license records for the company, one shown inactive — directory claims we haven't verified against the state registry ourselves. Anyone hiring for roofing or exterior work should ask directly about workmanship follow-up and warranty response, since that's the one recurring theme in the negative reviews, and confirm which license number applies to the job at hand.
“He and his crews have been straight out. Their feat is fixing the roofing problems that have come along with the wintery mix.”
I had an experience with Neponset Valley Construction. They did work about three years ago. I would tell others that they're more for exterior jobs than they are interior jobs, the work is kind of shoddy. The price was the reason we went with them.

The service was good
It went very well. The job was well done and have been enjoying the work ever since.
The works seems very professionally done. However, it took six weeks for them to begin work after we paid the initial deposit. Also, they initially refused to clean up the enormous mess left in the attic saying it "wasn't in the contract." The contract specifically included "removal of debris" from the site but they later said this did not include cleaning up the debris left in the attic. To their credit, they agreed to come back and clean the attic, not because they acknowledged it was included in the contract, but because they didn't specifically tell us that attic clean up wasn't included (in their interpretation of the contract). Supplies were left sitting in our driveway for two weeks after the job was finished. The actual workers worked hard and were very polite. Midway through the job, they started to leave the site at the end of the day leaving parts of the attic exposed and uncovered. When we expressed concern about leaving that area open to the elements and bugs overnight, they returned to the roof and completed the open areas before leaving for the day. Overall, we were satisfied with the work and the final product.
