Epoxy floors are the whole business here. Garages, basements, mudrooms — flake and metallic finishes poured over concrete slabs, and nothing that resembles general remodeling. New England Pro Epoxy runs out of Tremont Street in Lawrence with four employees, and the owner, Christian Monroy, is the name customers keep using. Thumbtack has him background-checked and named him a Top Pro three years running, in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The written history runs from 2020 to 2023 — ten reviews across Thumbtack and HomeAdvisor — and the pattern in them barely moves: the same first name, the same rooms, the same emphasis on prepping and stripping the slab before any coating goes down. Thumbtack rates the company 4.9 across 41 ratings, 98 percent of them five stars, with a single two-star in the distribution and no text attached to it. HomeAdvisor shows 5.0 from five. These read like real customers rather than a manufactured batch: varied lengths, different rooms, a named owner recurring across years and two separate platforms, and reviewers who describe the prep work as specifically as the finish. Two things are worth pinning down on the call. The company's own tenure claim differs depending on where you read it — HomeAdvisor's profile says nine years of experience, Thumbtack's says six — so ask straight out how long it has been coating floors. And the readable history is dated: the accounts carrying any real detail were written between 2020 and 2023, so ask for addresses and photos from jobs finished this year rather than relying on the star average. Worth knowing too that 41 people have rated the company on Thumbtack while only five left any text, so the average rests on far more people than you can actually read. If what you have is a garage or basement slab you want sealed and finished, this is a specialist who does that and little else — and that narrowness is probably why the reviews are so uniform. Get the surface prep, the coating system and the warranty spelled out in writing, and ask for two recent local references before you book.

I had an awesome experience working with Chris and his team. They applied epoxy flooring for my two car garage and a mudroom. it looks absolutely gorgeous. They worked very hard they, took their time to perfect the floor. Also their pricing is very competitive. I interviewed 7 epoxy flooring companies before deciding to hire Chris. I highly recommend hiring New England Pro Epoxy. Details: Garage • 501 - 750 sq ft • No major cracks or chips in the floor • Residential • Epoxy Floor Coating • Hired on Thumbtack

Christian and his team really did a nice job on our basement floor. It was obvious from the start that he really cared about doing the job right, suggesting the proper approach given our location and taking the time to do a nice prep job. In the end, we ended with a beautifully transformed basement. I would highly recommend New England Pro Epoxy. We had our garage floor and our cellar floor epoxy coated by New England Pro Epoxy. They did an excellent job and we are very very satisfied with them. They made an appointment to come and inspect and give me a quote. They were very professional and careful when moving thru out our home. They came when they said they would. All the employees were polite and courteous. We would definitely recommend them. Highly satisfied. Bob D Worcester. Christian and his team did a superbe job on our concrete garage floor and wall. It really transformed our experience walking in and out of the garage each day. The end result is stunning. They did such a meticulous job, and what I especially appreciated was the professionalism and respect of the property. I would highly recommend this team to anyone. We will certainly hire them again. $2,300. My garage floor never looked so good. We hired New England Pro Epoxy to strip old paint off our garage floor and re-surface it with an epoxy flake floor coating. Throughout the entire process, communications were timely and accurate. They arrived when they said they would and kept me informed of progress throughout the process. The guys who did the work were great. Friendly and professional. The attention to detail and workmanship were outstanding. The end product is a floor that rivals any inside my house. Oh, by the way, the new floor is covered by a 15 year warranty. I could not find another contractor who offered that for any price. If you need concrete coated - hire these guys. (Yes, I recommend this pro)
