New England Remodeling describes itself as "a full service Construction Company," with work running "From small jobs such as painting a bathroom to Architectural drawings and construction of your dream home." Its Houzz listing names roofing and gutter services, among them roof installation, roof replacement and roof repair, and prints licence number 85357. In a 2021 HomeAdvisor review, a customer wrote that they did not use the right wood and used a nail gun instead of regular nails that have a head, so the stairs were weak. In an earlier 2021 HomeAdvisor review, a customer called it an "Excellent company to work with!" and wrote that they were very timely and considerate. In a 2017 Angi review, a customer wrote that he knew nothing about replacing the customer's doors, damaged the door frames and never came back to restore the frames or hang the new doors, and that the customer ended up hiring another contractor. In a 2014 Angi review, a customer wrote that he cancelled 3 times and then was a no show/no call, put together 2 chairs and never came back, and had $150 as a down payment for a list of projects.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from NEW ENGLAND REMODELING. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.
Estimated range
$9,000 – $18,600
Typical roofing project around $13,800
They did not use the right wood and they also used a nail gun instead of regular nails that have a head, so now the stairs are weak. I am disappointed.
Excellent company to work with! They were very timely, considerate, and overall I was very pleased with the experience. I would highly recommend them!
I surprised this contractor going through my kitchen cabinets while I stepped out for a few minutes. He said he was hungry and needed to eat something. Additionally, he knew nothing about replacing my doors. How was he vetted by Home Advisor? He damaged my door frames and never came back to restore the frames or hang the new doors. I learned a huge lesson about paying up front. I ended having to hire another contractor and spending even more money. This was an awful experience.
He cancelled 3 times and then was a no show/no call. He put together 2 chairs for me and never came back. He has $150 dollars as a down payment for a list of projects that he was going to do. He does not return my calls. This situation was a complete failure.
