Aucoin Electric is Nick Aucoin's Newton-based electrical outfit, and the pattern in its reviews is speed: customers keep describing him showing up fast and getting a fix done in one visit. On Angi, the company holds a 4.9-star average from 51 ratings, with 90% five-star. The specifics back that up. In a 2025 review, a customer said Nick "responded quickly, came the next day" and worked through a piece of tricky wiring. Late in 2023, another customer had him install a Tesla Wall Charger, calling the price fair and the work a pro job. A June 2026 review — the most recent on file — describes a team member named Eric as responsive and easy to work with, suggesting Nick isn't working every job solo anymore. Not every review is glowing. A May 2024 write-up described a job that ran longer than estimated — the customer chalked some of it up to the age of their condo — and said they wished Nick had communicated more along the way, though they still said he'd done a good job. Worth asking about if your job has any unknowns behind the walls. Angi lists a trade license for the business (number 58856, expiring in 2028), and the company carries Angi's Approved badge. For panel work, wiring repairs, or an EV charger install, the track record here points to someone who moves fast — just set expectations on updates if the scope of the job might grow.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Nicholas Aucoin Journeyman Electrician. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.

Eric was responsive, easy to work with, and would recommend him to anyone.
Nick responded quickly, came the next day, was very knowledgeable and resolved "tricky" electrical wiring, worked hard, and was a nice guy the whole time. Would definitely recommend.
Nick and his team did an incredible job! He was responsive, reliable, and adaptable to the project needs. I will be coming back to Aucoin Electric for any future electrical work I have.
The job took much longer than was estimated. I think this was largely due to the limitations of my old condo, but I would have appreciated more communication during the project than Nick provided. He seems to have done a great job!
Nicholas was very pleasant and easy to work with, charged a fair price for the work, and did a pro job overall installing a Tesla Wall Charger - I would recommend him highly.
