Norfolk Construction, Inc. is a family-owned general contractor in Ashland, Massachusetts, holding an active, registry-verified Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license. The company was previously known as Unlimited Builders, Inc. — many earlier reviews and its Houzz profile still use that name. Reviewers under both names describe full-home renovations, additions, and kitchen and bathroom remodels, praising the crew's communication, attention to detail, and follow-through, with several hiring the company again for later projects. One 2025 review described a poor phone experience when trying to reach the office.
Called to make an inquiry and the person who answered hung up and rejected my call backs.
Highly recommend their services! I had such great experience remodeling my kitchen that I had to get the my deck remodeled too! Their team is extremely respectful of the space around them, they are super easy to work with and I love that they were so willing to make sure I got my dream kitchen and deck. I look forward to woking with such an amazing team again!
It is a company with a lot of experience and ability to execute any project they need, in planning and execution I give them a 10 out of 10.
It's always a pleasure to work with John and his team at Norfolk Construction. Their quality of work proves their attention to detail and strive for excellence in every project they take on. If you're looking for a reliable, skilled, and positive contractor, I highly recommend Norfolk Construction.
We feel truly lucky to have found Norfolk Construction. We hired them to renovate our master bedroom and bathroom, plus a full bath and a half bath. The results met my high standards, so much so that we’re planning to engage them for another renovation this year. We didn’t know them beforehand. I cold called them after reading a positive reviews on another site. After sending them our architectural drawings, Anisio and John came out to walk the space and spot any potential issues early on. Their bid stood out for how thoughtful and detailed it was. It gave me real peace of mind that the number they gave us wasn’t going to balloon later. They clearly knew what they were doing, and they were upfront about what everything would cost. Communication was great throughout the project. Anisio served as our on-site project manager and was here nearly every day to either do work himself, or check in on the crew. He kept us informed on what needed to happen when and was incredibly helpful in guiding decisions as things came up. John was also super responsive whenever we had broader questions or needed a second opinion. The crew was excellent! It was the same familiar faces each day, which made it feel more like a team and less like a rotating door of strangers. I must say, the tilers were absolute standouts! Their attention to detail was truly appreciated because I am really picky when it comes to symmetry and design (see before and after pic). The blue board team made our walls look like butter, and everyone else—from the electricians to the painters—was kind, skilled, and respectful of our space. They protected our floors, kept the rest of the house dust-free, and even put up a zippered partition so we could live at home comfortably while the work was happening and to prevent our curious cat from exploring the construction zone. We did run into a couple of unexpected issues along the way (as you do when you renovate a 55-year-old home), but Anisio always gave us a range of thoughtful solutions and helped us choose the best path forward. Additionally, when asked, Anisio shared his perspective on a few design details that hadn’t been fully thought through in our plans and that we are now grateful to have had his advice on. We agreed up front that we’d be sourcing all the fixtures and materials ourselves, which we actually appreciated because it gave us full control over what we selected and helped us manage our budget. That meant that I handled the day-to-day coordination of deliveries on our side, which worked well for us because I was comfortable being the point person. But if that’s not your strength or something you want to take on, it’s worth asking Norfolk how they might support you more in that area. We’re already planning to work with them again and recommend them without hesitation. If you're considering a remodel or renovation and want a team you can trust, the Norfolk crew is filled with good people who do excellent work.
