North Shore Design-Build, LLC

North Shore Design-Build is a one-person Beverly firm run by owner Deirdre Hall, an MIT-trained engineer with a Master of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College, who handles design and construction together rather than handing a project off between separate firms. Hall's business traces back to 2008, when she started a design-and-remodeling partnership with her father; she launched the North Shore Design-Build name in 2019 and incorporated it as an LLC in 2022. Her Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (HIC #179269) is active and verified against the state registry, and BBB and Houzz both list a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CS-099115) on file. The firm is BBB-accredited with an A+ grade and holds an EnergyStar Homes certification. Its Houzz portfolio shows 13 project galleries covering new home construction, additions, kitchen and bath remodels, ADUs and gut renovations — the range you'd expect from a design-build firm handling architectural, structural and interior design alongside the construction itself. For a project that benefits from one firm carrying the design through to the build — an addition, a full kitchen or bath overhaul, a gut renovation — Hall's engineering and architecture background plus the verified license are worth weighing; ask to see recent project photos or a site visit to gauge fit for your scope.
