Thirty-eight years in the Merrimack Valley, 25 employees, and a BBB file that has been accredited since 2006 — Northeast Landscape Contractors is the kind of outfit that shows up on the same properties season after season. It runs out of 314 Clark Street in North Andover as a corporation, with Mark Delgreco as president and Bruno Delgreco as treasurer, and the BBB dates the business to 1988. The company says it covers Andover, North Andover, Boxford, Bradford, Haverhill, Lawrence and Methuen, handling residential lawn care, landscaping and design, hardscapes and irrigation, plus commercial property maintenance and snow and ice management through the winter. It is also listed with the North Andover Chamber of Commerce. The praise tends to be about consistency rather than any one showpiece job: crews that come back year after year, estimators who take time on site, work that gets done to plan. That pattern runs across 16 reviews and five sources, alongside a 4.2 average from 29 Google ratings. What pulls the number down is not workmanship. The complaints on file concern how the company operates at the edges — a neighbor describing crews mowing beyond the property they were hired for, a long-time customer who missed a prepay discount deadline by a day and found no flexibility, and a departing homeowner told the crew schedule belonged to full-contract clients first. Those are policy and boundary issues, and they are the ones worth raising before you sign. Good fit for a homeowner who wants a season-long maintenance contract from a large, established crew rather than a one-off job. Before booking, pin down exactly which property lines and beds are in scope, get the discount and prepay deadlines in writing, and ask what happens to your schedule if you need something outside the contract mid-season.

They mow my neighbors lawn and despite me planting bushes and placing rocks along the property line, they repeatedly mow up to 10-15 ft into my property, coming as close as 15-ft from my house (zoning is 30-ft in this area, so they should know better). They routinely mow over grass I’m trying to re-grow (because it gets often gets mowed twice as much as it should). They even mow on the complete other side of gardens that I’ve created. As someone who grew up working for landscape companies on the North Shore, I’m dumbfounded by their lack of attention to detail. I’ve spoken to some of the crews, but I’m not always home to stop them the next time. My wife has also spoken to crews onsite. My wife has even called their office in previous years. This has been going on for at least 3 years. Nothing has changed. It’s happened one too many times, so I’ve resorted to posting here so people are aware.

Very unprofessional the owner mark is rude and doesn’t care about his customers talked with his employees and they all agreed as well. Highly recommended to find another landscape company

Thank you to the team at Northeast Landscape for your thoroughness and hard work to build a retaining wall and level our backyard. The wall came out great and your communication before and during the project was excellent. We knew what to expect each day of the process and the crew followed through. We would definitely hire you again!
