Lewis Ertan tends to turn up himself. A homeowner having central air replaced in August 2026 had the owner at the house explaining the whole job before the crew arrived on time to do it. That same month a long-standing customer had an entire AC unit and furnace swapped inside one day, and in July 2026 another had a full heat pump system replaced between morning and evening. Northshore HVAC/R works out of North Billerica on home heating and cooling, central air, furnaces, heat pumps, mini-splits, maintenance and diagnostics, and on commercial refrigeration alongside it. A bakery wrote in June 2023 about a walk-in freezer going down, and Lewis getting there fast and keeping them posted through the repair; a September 2023 business customer said the coolers, industrial freezers and ice machines they depend on had been in his hands for about three years. Across 101 Google ratings averaging 4.9, two words repeat: responsive, and explained. A June 2025 customer with a loud condenser was scheduled immediately and had the fault diagnosed on the visit. A July 2023 customer said an emergency call was returned within five minutes and someone came the same day. In July 2025 a reviewer who assumed his 40-year-old condenser was finished said it was humming again within the hour. A May 2026 customer who priced a new condenser and attic air handler around said Northshore beat most of the competition. The complaint on record is recent and specific. In June 2026 a customer paid $460 to recharge an AC that was blowing warm again three days later, was told a whole new system was needed, and said the service call was not credited toward it. Refrigerant that disappears that quickly usually means a leak, so before booking, ask what the diagnostic covers, whether a leak search is part of it, and how the call fee is handled if a repair turns into a replacement. A March 2023 reviewer left two stars while describing an on-time, thorough visit with options laid out and a parts run to the store. For an AC or heat-pump replacement, a mini-split, seasonal maintenance, or a restaurant's refrigeration around Billerica and the North Shore, this is a strong call, and the same-day turnarounds customers describe are the reason. Get the diagnostic fee and what it covers in writing before the truck comes out.
