Nu Age Concepts, run by Ed Wolforth out of Weymouth, is a design-build outfit that takes on additions, kitchens, bathrooms, decks, and full remodels — and its own customers keep coming back for more. One Porch review, from 2017, is from a client hiring Ed for the third time, describing new composite front steps, a replacement cellar door on a 60-plus-year-old opening, and a full siding power-wash, all finished on schedule with a clean, safe site. The written record runs from 2014 to 2024 and stays remarkably consistent. A 2024 HomeAdvisor review describes years of work on a 100-year-old home — new windows and doors, crown moulding, fireplace mantles, and a paint job that still looked fresh years later — calling the company trustworthy and honest. A 2014 review details a full kitchen renovation (a moved window, new siding, a removed partition wall, cabinetry, tile, and hardwood flooring) that ran a bit long but held to budget. In a 2016 review, Ed handled a storm-damaged pergola and Florida room by working directly with the homeowner's insurance adjuster, and the crew left the site spotless. The one sour note in the record is a 2015 review that said the company didn't work with the integrity of older homes, though it added that the crew on site was professional. A couple of things worth asking about directly: the company's own profiles disagree on how long it's been operating — Porch dates it to 2000 (26 years), while its HomeAdvisor and Angi listings self-report 11 years of experience. And its Massachusetts trade license (213493, self-reported as expiring October 2026) hasn't been independently checked against the state registry, so it's worth confirming yourself. For an addition, a kitchen or bath overhaul, or built-in stair and deck work, the pattern here — repeat hires, specific named projects, a paint job that held up for years — is the kind of thing that tends to hold up under scrutiny.

We bought our home in weymouth from nu age ! They are an awesome company who put in so many incredible details. Very responsive, flexible, and thoughtful in their work. Highly recommend!
They have done plenty of work at my 100 year old home, everything from replacing windows and doors to putting up crown moulding and fireplace mantles. They have also painted our house which still looks brand new many years later. Very trustworthy and honest, listens to the customer, and keeps you informed through the process. Highly recommend Ed and team!!
Nice work, perfect walls,, well insulated, tiling in bathroom excellent, builder did extra work at no cost just to make it look nice.
Ed is professional and very knowledgeable My house looks Great
Ed pays a lot of attention to detail. Aims to deliver a perfect end product. An awkward job to pull out a recent (by another contractor) but poorly done renovated shower stall and redo it.
