The written record runs from 2014 to 2024 and stays remarkably consistent. A 2024 HomeAdvisor review describes years of work on a 100-year-old home — new windows and doors, crown moulding, fireplace mantles, and a paint job that still looked fresh years later — calling the company trustworthy and honest. A 2014 review details a full kitchen renovation (a moved window, new siding, a removed partition wall, cabinetry, tile, and hardwood flooring) that ran a bit long but held to budget. In a 2016 review, Ed handled a storm-damaged pergola and Florida room by working directly with the homeowner's insurance adjuster, and the crew left the site spotless. The one sour note in the record is a 2015 review that said the company didn't work with the integrity of older homes, though it added that the crew on site was professional. A couple of things worth asking about directly: the company's own profiles disagree on how long it's been operating — Porch dates it to 2000 (26 years), while its HomeAdvisor and Angi listings self-report 11 years of experience. And its Massachusetts trade license (213493, self-reported as expiring October 2026) hasn't been independently checked against the state registry, so it's worth confirming yourself. For an addition, a kitchen or bath overhaul, or built-in stair and deck work, the pattern here — repeat hires, specific named projects, a paint job that held up for years — is the kind of thing that tends to hold up under scrutiny.
