Osas Handyman is the Dorchester outfit people seem to call after someone else has let them down. In a June 2025 review a homeowner described hiring him to repair basement foundation cracks left by "previous contractor who did a quick and dirty job" — they negotiated a fair price, and he and his crew were "always polite". A November 2024 customer was blunter about the alternative: after handymen who wouldn't respond, couldn't keep an appointment, or quoted "crazy" prices, dealing with Osas had "literally been a breath of fresh air". That job grew from a run of wall patches into repairing kitchen walls, fresh paint and storm doors, and they wrote that he shows up when he says he will and the cost is economical. In October 2024 a Somerville household had a rotted-out window fixed and called him warm, responsive and punctual, with plans to use him again. Across 14 Google ratings averaging 4.9, the words that keep coming back are budget-friendly, fast and reliable. One thing to weigh before you read too much into that average: six of the eleven written reviews were posted on the same day in June 2024, and they are one-liners — "Good", "He was good", "The absolute best". The four accounts that actually describe work are spread across late 2024 and 2025, and they are the ones worth reading. For small-to-middling repair work around Boston — drywall patching, windows, storm doors, painting — those accounts are specific and consistent. Confirm what he handles himself and what goes to his crew, and get the price agreed before the work starts.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Osas Handyman. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.

I reached out to Osas to repair cracks in my basement foundation. Cracks were due to previous contractor who did a quick and dirty job. Osas came in and we negotiated a fair price. He is very easy to work with. He and his crew were always polite. Osas is highly recommended for any type of work. Tell him I sent you. Lol.
Osas Handyman is good at what he does, he knows his work very well. he did mine so well so when u have a job call him he will do it well for you.
First, let me say I tried reaching out to various handymen, and either they don't respond, can't keep a scheduled appt, no call when unavailable, or the price is just crazy! Dealing with Osas, has literally been a breath of fresh air. We started with some simple, yet numerous patch jobs, repair of a few damaged walls and later added repairing kitchen walls and adding a fresh layer of paint, to adding on storm doors, and those more work to be done! He shows up when he says he will, does what he says he will and the cost is economical. He and his team are focused on the task at hand and get the work done and I appreciate that!
We hired Osas to fix a rotted out window at our home in Somerville, MA. He did a very nice job. Throughout the process, he was warm, responsive, and punctual. I plan to work with him again on future projects.
